This is the 2nd ODI from the series which will be played at Sydney Cricket Ground on 29th November. This D/N match will be crucial for team India since they have lost the first one on the same ground. The match is also important for Australia to claim their first series win this summer.
Indian bowlers will be searching for their form to restrict team Australia in their backyard. Australia managed to score 110 runs in the last 10 overs in the first match at Sydney, hence death overs remain a concern for team India and they will be looking to manage that in this 2nd ODI.

Australia had shown brilliant teamwork at Sydney in the first ODI. They are looking forward to continuing that in the 2nd match at the same venue. Opening pair, Aron Finch and David Warner both had played some classic shots and managed to give a superb 156 runs stand for the first wicket.

In the bowling unit, Josh Hazlewood delivered a wonderful economic spell to stuck down India’s top-order batting. He took 3 wickets for 55 runs in his spell of 10 overs. Adam Zampa and Marcus Stoinis also delivered economic spells to restrict team India in the middle overs. Adam Zampa took 4 wickets for 54 runs in 10 overs with an economy of 5.40. Team Australia is looking like a perfect unit in all departments and they will be going to show that teamwork in the 2nd match of the series also.

In the first ODI, India’s openers gave a quick start for the team and managed to score 50 runs in the first 4 overs only while chasing the target of 375 runs. But India’s middle-order collapsed against the Aussies’ pace attack in a quick time. Later on, Hardik Pandya took responsibility with Shikhar Dhawan and settled down the inning to put some runs on the board. Shikhar Dhawan delivered a well set steady knock of 74 runs from 86 balls. To help him in the middle order Hardik Pandya scored a quick fifty and then managed to strike the ball all around the ground. He scored 90 runs from 76 balls only at a strike rate of 118.42.
In the bowling unit, only Mohammed Shami managed to restrict Australia’s batting unit. He delivered a brilliant economical spell and took 3 wickets for 59 runs in 10 overs. He also managed to break Australia’s opening wicket stand of 156 runs. To help him, Yuzvendra Chahal, Jasprit Bumrah, and Navdeep Saini had taken 1 wicket each but remained costly in their spells.
Fielding remains the main concern for the team India in the 1st ODI at Sydney. The 2-3 early chances of Australia’s top-order batsmen had missed by the Indian fielders which cost them to chase for a huge total of 375 runs. They will be looking to overcome these issues and to register a win in the 2nd ODI.
