Australia to win this game!

It was a massive win for Australia in the first Test Match of the 3-match series at Perth. They completely outplayed the New Zealanders to register a 296 run win in the game. The fabulous summer continues for the hosts who have been in great form with the bat and the ball.
For New Zealanders, it was a bad Test Match as the side has done well in the recent months in the lead up to the series. The two sides would now move to Melbourne where they would play in the Boxing Day Test Match.
For the visitors, this match would be all about saving the series as their opponents aren’t likely to do them any favors. Their batsmen will have to put a price on their wicket which they failed to do in the last game. The Kiwis have done well in the last couple of years and we expect them to fire in the next game.

Tim Paine would have no reason to complain as his side is having a dream run this summer. Apart from the batting collapse in the second innings, everything went perfect for them in the last game. Paine would want his players to continue with their dominance as they head into the next game and take the series in two straight games.
Batting is looking rock solid for the side with the form David Warner is in at the moment. He will be hoping to provide a good start alongside Joe Burns. Steven Smith, Marnus Labuschagne and Travis Head are in good form in the middle order. With Tim Paine and Matthew Wade down the order for the side, the batting line-up would hope to inflict damage on the New Zealand bowling attack.
The bowlers have had a great summer so far and they will be looking to continue with their form in the next game. Mitchell Starc is at his best along with Pat Cummins and forms a good new ball attack for the side. Peter Siddle coming in adds strength to the fast bowling line-up. Nathan Lyon also did well in the last game and completes a good attack along with Labuschagne.

Kane Williamson has a lot to worry about going into the next game. His side failed to put up a challenge against the Aussies in the last game. They were bowled out for less than 175 in both their innings. The side needs to pull its act together as they go into the next game as the hosts are likely to come hard at them in the next game. Apart from Ross Taylor none of the other bowlers did well in the last game. Jeet Raval and Tom Latham who were in good form at home will need to deliver in the next game.
Williamson has to play an important role in the game after his failure in the last game. Down the order, the side has good batting strength in BJ Watling and Henry Nicholls and they will look to do well in the next game. Trent Boult’s comeback to the side would be a huge blessing for the side after the bowlers failed in the last game.
Tim Southee had done well but the rest of the pack couldn’t push the Australians. Neil Wagner and Colin de Grandhomme will need to provide them good support going into the game. The Australian side is in great form and the Kiwi bowlers have to be at their best to defeat them.

There is expected to be cloudy conditions on all five days of the Test Match starting December 26 and this will make batting challenging. The fresh pitch would offer some assistance to the fast bowlers during the morning session while batting would become easy as the game progresses.
Melbourne Cricket Ground has is one of the best wickets for the batsmen in Australia and batsmen have done well here. The pace and bounce on the wicket is true that makes life easy for the batsmen. Fast bowlers get good support from the wicket throughout the game while the spinners do well here as the pitch starts to wear out.
Teams have always opted for batting on the surface at Melbourne and in the last 10 games the side batting first has won on 8 occasions. Chasing a score at the MCG is always a big challenge for any team and we expect the side winning the toss to bat first on this surface.
The second Test match at Melbourne would be a very important one for New Zealand. Having been beaten squarely by the Australians the visitors will need to make a strong comeback in the game. Their batting was poor in the last game and this is one area that the side will need to improve.
Australians have been in good form since the start of the summer as they go into the next game they would start as outright favorites to win this one.
