It is the 10th game at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020 and hosts Australia Women would be up against Bangladesh Women. Australian side would be confident coming into this game with a win against Sri Lanka after the side had fallen short of the target against India Women. Bangladesh Women too lost their first game against India Women and would have pressure going into this game as a loss here would make it tough for them to go into the next stage.
The problem for Bangladesh Women would be their poor record outside the sub-continent. The side has not managed to register too many wins in these conditions as their batters have struggled. Australia Women, on the other hand, are playing in their own conditions and would also have the crowds cheering for them. This will be their first encounter ever against Bangladesh in this format and they will look to win it.

Australia Women Preview Meg Lanning’s side did well in the last game against Sri Lanka Women to win it by 5 wickets after going down against India Women in their first game. But problems still remain for the side as their top order failed for the second consecutive game. Lanning would want the side to recover from here going into the next game. It was a collective failure of the top order in the last game with Alyssa Healy, Beth Mooney and Ashleigh Gardener going out early.
The latter two have failed in both the games and need to do well. Lanning and Rachael Haynes batted well to guide the side to a win. They have good batting to follow in Nicola Carey and Ellyse Perry down the order. Bowlers are doing well for the side and new ball pair of Megal Schutt and Ellyse Perry bowled well in the last game while Jess Jonassen also pitched in with a good spell in the last match. With Carey and Molly Strano bowling well the bowling attack has all its bases covered.

Salma Khatun’s side went down by 18 runs in their opening game of the competition against India Women. The skipper would have been upset as they looked all set for a win after keeping the Indians to a low total. They need to pull up their socks as they are up against a good side in the next game. Murshida Khatun and Shamima Sultana will need to provide a good start to the side. Murshida played well in the last game. In the middle order, Sanjida Islam will need to improve her scoring rate.
Nigar Sultana is in good form and the side also has good batters down the order in Fargana Hoque, Fahima Khatun and Jahanara Alam. Salma Khatun and Jahanara Alam will need to give early blows to the Australian side as the latter’s top order are in poor form.
Panna Ghosh and Rumana Ahmed bowled well in the last game and this is good news for the side. It will require a good bowling effort from the side in the next game knowing that their batters are likely to struggle in the game.

The weather would be mostly clear over Canberra on February 27 with odd clouds in the sky. This has always been a tricky wicket where batters have struggled due to the dual paced nature of the surface. Fast bowlers and spinners have done well here. Any score of 150 or more would be a fighting total on this surface.
The pitch at Manuka Oval, Canberra isn’t a very easy surface to bat on as the bowlers tend to get good assistance from the surface. On an average the sides batting first score about 130 odd runs on this surface. Spinners have done well here in the past as the ball tends to grip and turn more than other venues in Australia.
Most teams in this tournament have preferred to bowl first after winning the toss. The pitches have been slower than expected so far and batting hasn’t been easy. The side that wins the toss in this game is most likely invite the opposition to bat first on this surface.
Australia Women are coming into this game with a win and in home conditions, they will look to do well. The problem for the side has been their batting at the top but these players had done well a couple of weeks back.
Bangladesh Women, on the other hand, are struggling for form when it comes to playing the big teams. The pitch condition here is also likely to make it tough for them in the game. All this will definitely make Australia Women favorites to win this game.
