The Women’s T20I Tri-Series has become interesting after the first two games. Australia Women would now be taking on India Women in the third game of the series.
The hosts have started with a loss in their first game against England Women which they lost in the Super Over. India Women, on the other hand, defeated England Women convincingly in the first game of the tournament and find themselves sitting comfortably on the top of the points table.
Australia Women have a great record at home against India Women and the side would like to continue with the same in the next game. Their bowlers didn’t have a great day in the last game and shall look to improve on that in the next one. The Indian camp which is full of confidence at the moment isn’t likely to make it easy for the hosts going into this game.

Meg Lanning would be heartbroken with the loss in the last game. They were brilliant in their chase after the loss of wickets early and went onto tie the game only to lose it in the Super Over. AUSW will have to win this encounter to stay in the hunt for the finals.
Lanning would want her side to take full advantage of the home conditions in the upcoming match. Beth Mooney and Alyssa Healy must provide the side with a good start in the game and Mooney would be confident after her show in the last game. With Rachael Haynes and Jess Jonassen in the side, they have good batting down the order.
Ellyse Perry bowled well in the last game and so did Jess Jonassen and they will look to carry the form against India Women. The rest of the bowling attack looked ordinary and the likes of Megan Schutt, Annabel Sutherland, and Delissa Kimmince will look to bowl tighter lines.
Harmanpreet Kaur would be very excited about the performance of her side in the last game against England Women. They registered a convincing win by 5 wickets against a team against whom they have a poor record.
With Australia Women having lost their first match the side will be looking to win this game and take a step closer to play the final. Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana played well in the last game and they will be looking to provide the side with a good start. Jemimah Rodrigues and Kaur are also in good form at the moment. With Veda Krishnamurthy, Taniya Bhatia and Deepti Sharma down the order the batting looks in good shape against the strong bowling attack that Australians have.
India bowlers did well in the last game where Rajeshwari Gayakwad and Shikha Pandey stood out with their performances. Raadha Yadav, Deepti Sharma, and Kaur would be looking to bowl tighter lines as they went for a few runs in the previous match. The Australian batting line-up is strong and India women's side will require good performances from their bowling attack.

There would be partial clouds over Canberra on February 02. The ball would move around a bit in the early overs of the game. Batters will have to watch out their shot selection in the early overs and need to get their eyes set it before stroke-making. The side batting first would eye a score of 160 runs on this surface.
Manuka Oval, Canberra has a good batting surface where the ball comes onto the bat nicely. This allows the batters to free their arms. Fast bowlers also get good movement off the surface especially when there is cloud cover. There isn’t much in for the spinners with the shorter square boundaries making batting a challenge.
In the two games played so far at the venue, we have seen the ball move around a bit in the early overs. Batting has been easy on this track in the second innings. The side that wins the toss is likely to bowl first in the game and aim at keeping the opponents to a low score.
The contest in the tri-series has opened up. India Women have won their first game and currently sit on the top of the points table. A win in this match would almost assure them of a place in the finals of the tournament. Australia Women, on the other hand, have lost their first game and now the pressure is on them to perform. The side will take confidence from the fact that they have a good record against the Indian side at home.
