Mashrafe Mortaza’s side has had to bear two consecutive losses and after their win against South Africa in the tournament opener. Their bowlers were terrible in the last game against England and gave away 386 runs and lost the game by a huge margin despite putting up some fight while batting. They will need to win the next game to keep their hopes alive for the rest of the tournament.
Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim are in good form with the former scoring a brilliant hundred in the last game. Tamim Iqbal and Soumya Sarkar will need to provide a good start to the side in the next game as they have been unable to convert their starts. Mohammad Mithun and Mahmudullah have to play well towards the end of the innings for the side to do well in the next game.
Their bowling was taken apart in the last game with only Mehidy Hasan managing to bowl a decent spell. Mustafizur Rahman and Mortaza have looked in bad form in this competition and they will need to do well for the side with the new ball. Shakib has done well with the ball and the side would expect Mohammad Saifuddin to do well during the middle overs of the game.

Dimuth Karunaratne wouldn’t have complained much earning the one point from the last game against Pakistan that was washed away by rain. His side is in tatters and even in their last victory against Afghanistan, the side had more questions than answers about their form. Bangladesh is a good side and likely to challenge them in the next game.
In terms of batting the story for the side have been just two men Kusal Perera and Dimuth Karunaratne as the rest of the batsmen haven’t shown any effort to stick around on the wicket which led to a loss against the Kiwis and a batting collapse against Afghans. The team management would pin its hopes on Kusal Mendis, Angelo Mathews, Lahiru Thirimanne and Dhananjaya de Silva to build partnerships in the middle.
The bowlers did a good job against Afghanistan and won the match from a difficult situation. Nuwan Pradeep has been brilliant and the skipper would want the likes of Suranga Lakmal and Lasith Malinga with the new ball. Isuru Udana and Thisara Perera will need to provide good support to others to win the game.

The conditions would be cold and cloudy at Bristol on June 11 with chances of rain. This would make batting slightly difficult for the batsmen as the new ball is likely to move around. The pitch on its part has been a good one to bat on and the team batting first shall look at a score of 280 runs on this surface.
Venue
County Ground Bristol is good for batting with the pitch not offering much assistance to the bowlers. In cloudy conditions, the ball does do a bit but batsmen have always enjoyed this track. The boundaries are shorter around the square and this allows batsmen to play in the air and score in boundaries.
With chances of rain and overcast conditions on the day of the match, the bowlers would relish bowling on this surface. There would be early juice on the surface to exploit. The captain winning the toss would most likely want to field first in the game and put the opposition under pressure picking up early wickets.
Both the teams come into this game with a lot at stake. After three games the sides have one win under their belt. Sri Lanka though is in a slightly more comfortable position having earned one point from their last game against Pakistan where rains didn’t allow any play. In terms of team strength, Bangladesh has a well-balanced side to play with and this would make them favorites for the next game.
