Having lost the Test and the ODI series, this is the last chance for Zimbabwe to win a match and save the T20I series. The hosts already white-washed the ODI series (3-0) and except the second ODI match, Zimbabwe never came close to putting up a fight, let alone winning a game during their tour so far. In the second match of the ODI series, while chasing 322, half-centuries from Kamunhukamwe, Madhevere, Raza and Tiripano powered them to come within four runs of winning the match.
The first ODI, however, once again turned out to be a one-sided affair. Asking Soumya Sarkar to bat at number 3 worked for the team and the management as he added a fifty-plus score; Liton Das too smashed his half-century. Bangladesh is now just one win away from sweeping the T20I series.

Bangladesh outclassed Zimbabwe once again as they defeated the visitors by 48 runs in the first ODI. They were asked to bat first, and the openers added 92 runs for the first wicket. Iqbal (41 runs), and Liton Das (62 off 32) set the platform for Soumya Sarkar, who scored 32-balls 62, which included 4 boundaries and 5 sixes. Mushfiqur Rahim (17 off 8 balls, two sixes) and Mahmudullah (14 off 9 balls, one four) too added a few quick runs to take Bangladesh to 200. In a collective bowling display, Mustafizur Rahman (3-for-32) and Aminul Islam (3-for-34) destabilized the opponents, while tight spells from Shafiul Islam and Mohammad Saifuddin, both taking 1 wicket each giving just 38 in their 6 overs

In this tour, the only game Zimbabwe played well and came close to winning it was the second ODI match. After conceding the ODI series 0-3, the first T20 game was turned out to be a one-sided affair once again. Winning the toss and opting to bowl-first did not do any good to them, as the bowlers failed to remove the openers in the first 10 overs, giving away runs at the rate of 9 per over. The last 10 overs were equally ineffective, as they gave away 100 plus runs, eventually, they got the target of 201. Sikandar Raza (1-for 31 in 4 overs), Madhevere (1-for 15 in 2 overs) and Williams (4 overs 31 for 0) conceded runs at less than 8 an over, but Tiripano (Econ 9.75), Mumba (Econ 12.00) and Mpofu (Econ 14.50) were too expensive for the team.
The chase was timid, as the visitors lost Taylor in the second over while Ervine was gone before the end of the power-play. Williams and Mutumbami could not cross 20, while Mumba's 25 was the highest individual score from Zimbabwe's side. Eventually, they got out for 152 in 19 overs, to lose yet another match of their tour. One last T20I match is all they have now. It would be interesting to see how they play it and if they can win it.
Sean Williams is the top run-scorer for Zimbabwe (150 runs in the last 5 T20Is) followed by Richmond Mutumbami (82 runs in the last 5 games). Sean Williams also leads the bowling department with 6 wickets in the last 5 matches.
