The match number 25 is the 4th consecutive match Tridents are playing in their home Barbados and the visiting team is St Kitts and Nevis Patriots.
St Kitts opted to bowl in their previous match against the St Lucia Zouks. The openers were into the action straight away as they scored 15 runs from the first over and 32 from 3 overs before Joseph disturbed the wood-work of Cornwall. Ingram continued from where he left off in his previous game and Fletcher in no time scored 36 from 23. Hafeez in his unusual role of bowling outside powerplays made two crucial breakthroughs, foxing Fletcher and Ingram to get stumped. Hafeez completed his spell with the big wicket of Grandhomme as his gentle offies wreaked havoc for Zouks. Soon Zouks got reduced to 103/5 and Sammy entered hoping to find form.
Sammy and Barnwell began to tee-off by 16th over and Sammy smashed everything including Emrit’s thumb. The wicket of Sammy and some discipline in the last 10 balls saved Tridents. The home team were 28/0 by the third over and slumped to 38/2 by sixth over, openers Thomas and Lewis back in the hut. There was a brief partnership of 50 between Evans and Hafeez before rain interrupted. When the match resumed Williams dismissed Evans and Fabian Allen in the same over. Tridents slumped further as their Skipper and Brooks got out in quickly to leave them at 103/5. 63 off 30 was not impossible but the wicket of Hafeez made it impossible. Some late hitting from Emrit was not enough as Tridents lost by 20 runs.
Batting first Tridents openers started cautiously scoring 42/0 in the powerplay against the Knight Riders. Carter promoted to the opening slot played second fiddle to Charles. Charles reached his fifty and Carter followed him soon with his maiden fifty in CPL. Carter was the first man to depart trying to force things against Narine after scoring 2 boundaries already in that over. Pierre accounted for the next two wickets dismissing well set Charles for 58 and Hales for 1. Just when things were falling apart for Tridents, Duminy stepped up scoring 23 runs off the 18th over. He followed it up with 25 in the next over to bring up his fifty in just 15 balls. Pollard managed to remove Duminy, but the damage has already been done. The chase was on as 29 came in 2 overs before Holder removed Narine. Simmons failure meant that they finished powerplay at 67/2. Duminy made it his day with a brilliant take to remove Munro. Then it was all about the leggie Hayden Walsh and his spin magic to bamboozle the Knight riders as removed Pollard, Neesham, and Prasanna in the same over. The end was inevitable as Tridents bundled out the TKR for 129 and secured a win by a margin of 63 runs.

The Tridents would be pumped to see all their top 3 reach fifty. The move to send Carter up the order worked brilliantly for Holder. They have more reasons to be happy with the return one of the best all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan and Alex Hales will be facing the axe. Hayden Walsh has grabbed the opportunity in the absence of their trump card Lamichhane. Momentum on their side.
Key Players:
Hayden Walsh: His figures read 4-0-19-5, a dream spell for any bowler. He has 9 wickets from just 3 matches and was just overshadowed by Lamichhane.
JP Duminy: He has so far 218 from 7 innings and his 65 from 20 included 7 sixes and 4 fours. He was 11 from 7 at one point and then he went at the rate of nots.

SKNP will be playing their last match in the group stage in this season. They have 4 wins and 5 loses so far and they will be desperate to grab a win here and hope results go in their favor. It is their batting from their star players which has led them once again. Their openers have contributed mostly in their winning cause and they will expect Lewis and Thomas to deliver in their last league game. Barring one game it was a poor show from skipper Brathwaite. Hafeez is coming to groove in the latter half of CPL.
Key Players:
Mohammed Hafeez: He knows his 30’s are not going to help his team and he needs much more. His form becoming better and has figures of 13/1 and 22/3 from his full quota in the last two matches.
Evin Lewis: The opener so far has scored 237 runs from 8 innings. He would hope to give some positive NRR for his team with his exploits and he is much capable of doing so.

The weather looks cloudy and dark with 30% chances of rain on the match day as per weather forecast.
The pitch has got a lot to offer for the bowlers as batsman struggled to adjust the pace of the pitch with scores not reaching the 140 mark in the last two matches at this venue. But Tridents showed runs are available if batsmen apply themselves.
Warriors won the first match by DLS method and Tridents failed to chase 130 in the next match. Tridents won by a huge margin in the latest encounter and they will follow the same.
Tridents have the experience of playing three consecutive matches in their home ground, and they will hope to wrap this with a relatively weaker opponent. Again, the onus on their top order to perform, with bowlers already showing their mark in this CPL. SKNP still have a shot at qualifying if they win and also if other games end in their favor - save to say their chances are slim.
