T&Cs apply, 18+
For both the teams Barbados Tridents and St Lucia Zouks, it is a must-win game. A defeat here would knock the team out of the tournament as Jamaica Tallawahs are already out of the race while STKNP and GAW have already secured the playoff spots. Barbados Tridents already defeated Zouks earlier in this tournament playing an away match, so BT would enter the match with shoulders high as they also carry the advantage of the home ground. For Zouks, a lot depends on Sammy, Cornwall, and Williams while BT’s success depends on how Holder, Duminy and Charles perform.

In the first 6 games, only twice the team’s total score crossed 140, which demonstrated lack of solid batting performances, but their experienced batsmen Jean-Paul Duminy and Johnson Charles seem to have geared-up. They made the entry into the top-10 list of the most run-scorers of CPL 2019 after the game against TKR, which BT won by a big margin of 63 runs. BT posted the total of 192 batting first against TKR powered by Duminy’s record half-century (20 balls 65). A five-for by Hayden Walsh awarded the team an immense victory and two crucial points.
On two occasions Barbados Tridents came very close to win the game while chasing but unfortunately lost at the end. Against Jamaica Tallawahs, they lost just by five runs in response to JT’s 127 runs, and their previous game against STKNP was lost just by one run. Gurney took two wickets for 23 runs while economical spells from Shakib Al Hasan (4 for 14) and Holder (1 for 16) restricted STKNP just under 150. Shakib also performed well with the bat for his 25 balls 38. But it was "deja vu" for Reifer as once again he got out in the 20th over and the team failed to seal the match.
Now, with 6 points in 8 games, they are at the fifth spot in the points table. After this match, they would play TKR in their last group-stage match, but to make it to the playoffs, the Tridents must win their last home game.

This is St Lucia Zouks' last match of the group stage. With 3 wins, 1 abandoned match, they have got 7 points in 9 games and are at the fourth place in the points table. They are positioned between fourth-ranked St Kitts and Nevis Patriots (8 points) and fifth-ranked Barbados Tridents (6 points). If Zouks win this game, they will seal a playoffs spot and Barbados Tridents will be knocked out.
St Lucia Zouks’ performance in the first half of the group-round was less than impressive, winning just 1 out of first five matches. Their first win was against Jamaica, which they won by five wickets powered by Rahkeem Cornwall who smashed 30 balls 75 chasing BT’s total of 170. Fortunately, their match against Trinbago Knight Riders was washed-out and they got 1 point against then table-toppers. Before that, they played against Barbados at home, but faced humiliating 71 runs defeat, as the batsmen succumbed to BT bowlers, and got all out for 101 runs while chasing 172. BT proved to be a better team in all departments over Zouks.
However, recently they defeated STKNP and Jamaica Tallawahs to give BT and STKNP a very good competition for a slot in top-four. Sammy’s 30 off 19 and Viljoen and Williams 3 wickets each fabricated the win against STKNP, which was their second win in the season. Then they knocked Jamaica out of the tournament by chasing 165 runs in 19.1 overs with 4 wickets in hands, thanks to Cornwall’s yet another half-century with 200 plus strike rate and 3 for 24 by Williams. Darren Sammy’s team seem to be peaking at the right time but they still need to win their last game to remain in the top-four and be able to reach the knock-out round.

Out of 17 T20 International matches played here, 12 are won by the team batting first, 5 by the team chasing, while 1 match was abandoned. In this tournament, the last 3 matches played on this ground are won by the teams batting first.
St Lucia Zouks are right now at fourth place in the points table, however, they played two more matches than Barbados Tridents, who are one place below the Zouks with the same number of wins. St Lucia Zouks were lucky to get one point in the match against Trinbago Knight Riders which was washed out due to rain.
The statistics are lopsided towards Barbados Tridents. Across all the CPL seasons, out of 13 matches, BT has won 9 games against Zouks. At the moment, both the teams are playing well and look determined to pick up a berth for the playoffs round. Though Zouks cannot be written off completely, playing at home, the Tridents have an edge and are likely to get their second win against Zouks this season.
