In the match 23rd of the IPL 2021, MS Dhoni Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will take on David Warner’s Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Tuesday. CSK is brimming with confidence following their success so far in the IPl 2021 edition; they won four of their first games and with 8 points and good NRR strongly placed at top of the table. They looked rock-solid in both and batting and bowling and different player stood up and won the game for the side. Hence, Dhoni and co would be hoping for yet another good performance against the unspirited SRH and keep the momentum.
On the contrary, Sunrisers Hyderabad, one of the most consistent teams in IPL has a terrible start to the IPL 2021 and they are under immense pressure with a solitary win and four defeats from their last five games. In their previous match, SRH lost the game opposite Capitals in super over; first super over of the season. Bairstow and Williamson played great knocks but they got very little assistance from other batsmen. The main concern for the SRH is the middle-order batting, they tried different combination but nothing worked in their favour. Warner and co would be desperate to get back on track against the formidable CSK side. Finding the right combination and consistency will be imperative for SRH in its quest for momentum and ascent.

Three times champion, Chennai Super Kings is the second most successful franchise in the IPL led by former Indian skipper MS Dhoni. CSK’s team combination looks very balanced and strong, they got plenty of options in batting and bowling. In the last game, CSK put together an inspired performance to break out the winning streak of RCB and won the game by a big margin of 69 runs. The last win has further improved the NRR for CSK. In batting, CSK openers R Gaikwad and Faf Du Plessis came well yet again in the previous match and put up a 74 runs partnership. Mainly, Faf Du Plessis is in great form, he scored 214 from 5 innings at a strike rate of 138. The biggest positive for CSK is they got some contribution in batting from different players at the top and in middle. Raina has also played some impact inning in previous matches. Notably, he holds great records against SRH; scored 415 from 13 innings at an average of 37.73.
In the middle-order, CSK got great fire-power with the likes of Dhoni, Jadeja and S Curran in their rank. Arguably, R Jadeja is one of the best all-rounders in all the format of the game, he scored 28 balls 62 and bagged 3 for 13 in a four-over spell against RCB in the last match. He was awarded man of the match for his stupendous performance. Jadeja is a key asset for CSK and the all-rounder can win many more games for his side. MS Dhoni also got a great record against SRH; he scored 399 runs from 12 innings at an average of 79.80. On the bowling front, D Chahar did a splendid job and he is amongst the top wicket-taker; took 8 wickets from 5 innings. He got the ability to swing the ball both ways and will be a bowler to watch out for in powerplay. S Curran and S Thakur will be other pacers for CSK. The left-arm spinner, R Jadeja also picked 5 wickets in the middle over and restrict the run flow.

Sunrisers Hyderabad had been one of the most consistent team in the last few years edition of IPL and they have been one of the toughest team to beat. However, after a disappointing start this year, the morale of the SRH won't be great. Even after five games, SRH has failed to find the right combination while playing on a slower track. As the tournament moving towards the second half, SRH can afford to lose more games and they need to rectify their mistakes and come back stronger. After getting a win in the fourth game against Punjab, SRH fought well against Capitals in the previous game but they lost the game in super-over. In batting, Warner and Bairstow looked formidable as always and they are scoring with a great strike rate. Notably, Warner is the only batsman who has scored a 500+ run in four consecutive IPL season. J Bairstow is the leading scorer for SRH with 211 runs from 4 innings. Warner failed to score big runs as failed to live up to the reputation of winning the match on his own
At three, SRH got Kiwis great Kane Willamson, he is very reliable and has consistently scored big runs. In the last match opposite DC, Williamson scored 66 off 51 and took the game deep. However, other batsmen comprising C Singh, M Pandey, K Jadhav, and V Shankar failed to contribute and that is one of the reasons for SRH failure. The team would be hoping for some contribution from the middle-order. In the bowling, usually, SRH bowling attack is one of the best but the pace trio of B Kumar, S Sharma and K Ahmed looked ordinary and failed to pick wickets. Rashid Khan, one of the ICC top-ranked T20I bowlers will lead the spin department. Rashid Khan is a big match-winner and certainly a player to watch out for in any contest. In the previous five games, Rashid bowled with an economy of just 5.60

CSK is on song in the IPL 2021 edition, on the other hand, SRH despite a very formidable team, failed to deliver quality performance. Momentum is with CSK and statistically as well Dhoni and co hold the upper hand with 11 wins from 15 games opposite SRH. Hence, CSK have an advantage going into this game.
We predict Chennai Super Kings will win this match.
