The 17th Match of the Vincy Premier League 2020 would see the Dark View Explorers take on the Botanic Gardens Rangers in what is expected to be a close contest. The Explorers are coming into this game after losing their last game against the Salt Pond Breakers while the Rangers would be confident after winning a thriller against the Fort Charlotte Strikers.
The two sides had earlier met in the tournament and in that game the Botanic Gardens Rangers had registered an impressive win which will be a confidence booster. The Dark View Explorers also have a good team at their disposal and a win in this game would help them rise up on the points table. With the two sides matched well this is expected to be an interesting contest.

Lindon James’ side isn’t just being able to maintain its consistency and a poor show from their batsmen in the last game saw them go down by 8 wickets against the Salt Pond Breakers. They need to win this one to stay in a comfortable spot in the points table and James would like to see his side perform at their best.
Their batsmen weren’t able to maintain a good scoring rate despite spending time at the crease which cost them the game. Deron Greaves and Shamon Hooper will need to score runs quickly in the next game. James is also looking in good form and along with Andrew Thomas and Kody Horne will need to do the big-hitting in the middle order.
Deron Greaves looked good with the ball in the last game but the side would like to see better economy rates from its new-ball pair of Darius Martin and Kemron Strough. The likes of Sealron Williams, James, and Shamon Hooper need to pitch the ball in the right areas to put breaks on the Rangers’ scoring rate.
Kesrick Williams would be happy with the way his side played in the last game against the Fort Charlotte Strikers registering a 6-run win. They had defeated the Explorers earlier and Williams would be hoping to repeat the same show. A win in this game will help them raise further on the points table and nearly seal a spot for themselves in the semifinals.
Hyron Shallow has been in great form and played a match-winning knock in the last game. Oziko Wiliams also did well and the pair will look to start off the proceedings well. Romel Currency has good hitting abilities and along with Joey Welcome and Kevin Abraham completes a good batting line-up for the side.
Their bowlers did well in the previous game with Kesrick Williams and Kenneth Dember leading the charge and they would want to continue with the same form. They have good support bowlers in Kimali Williams, Nigel Small, and Kevin Abraham who would look to bowl tight lines in the next game.

There would be cloud cover over St Vincent on May 27 and bowlers aren’t likely to complain as the pitch has turned flat in the last few games. Batting will be easy as the ball is coming on to the bat nicely in the last few games. Batting first a side will need to eye a total in excess of 100 runs to feel safe on this wicket.
It’s a small park at the Arnos Vale Sporting Complex, St. Vincent and this helps the batsmen play their strokes without any fear. There is some assistance for the fast bowlers early on and spinners as well given the uneven nature of bounce but the batsmen have done well on this track so far.
Bat first and defend the score successfully seems to have been the story over the last three days as all the 9 games have been won by teams that have batted first. Hence the side that wins the toss in this game would have little hesitation in batting first.
The Dark View Explorers have a very strong combination but the side has been undone by the fact that some of their key players haven’t been able to deliver the goods consistently. They can least afford to do so against a team that is looking in good form. Botanic Gardens Rangers have an in-form top order which has been scoring runs easily. The game would be close but we expect the Botanic Gardens Rangers to start favorites in this one.
