Kennington Oval pitch aids the seam bowlers very early in the match. The new ball will swing in the overcast conditions and trouble batsmen. Batsmen will find it easier to score as the match progresses. We can expect scores in the range of 280-300 runs in this pitch. The match day weather promises to be cloudy and overcast with 20% chances of rain.
Both captains will look to take advantage of the seaming pitch early in the match. They will look to put the opposition batsmen in the tougher conditions. And chasing has been the best option in the recent matches.
England team has better depth in their batting line-up and a variety of bowling options with a number of all-rounders in the playing XI. But, South African team`s bowling attack looks stronger than the England attack on paper. We expect England to win this riveting contest between two quality teams in the tournament!
