Host England will be looking to kick-start their home season on a positive note when they take on West Indies in the opening Test at Ageas Bowl in Southampton on Wednesday.
England has named their 13-man squad for the opening game of the Test series. Middle-order batsman Jonny Bairstow and all-rounder Moeen Ali have been left out of the side. Interim captain Ben Stokes will be hoping that the side can put on a strong show with bat and ball.

In the batting department, the side will be depending on the likes of Kraigg Brathwaite, Shai Hope and Shane Dowrich to do the bulk of the scoring.

Besides Brathwaite, Shai Hope, Roston Chase and Shane Dowrich will need to make decent contributions for the side in this opening Test.
In the bowling department, the side will be depending on the likes of Kemar Roach, Shannon Gabriel and Jason Holder will be looking to make early inroads with the new ball.
