England Women vs Australia Women, Only Test Match Prediction 18 Jul 2019

Hosts England Women would start off the next leg of the Ashes against archrivals Australia Women at The Cooper Associates County Ground, Taunton. The Only Test Match of the series holds great significance for the hosts as they have been white-washed in the ODI series 3-0. They have been outplayed in all the games barring the first ODI and would be looking to turn their fortunes around in red-ball cricket. 

The two sides have shared a great rivalry in Test Matches over the years with Australia having won 12 Test Matches and England emerging victorious on nine occasions. They are the best sides in the world and England Women have suffered big losses in the ODI series are likely to come hard at the Australians and this would make it an interesting game of cricket.  

The weather is likely to play around a bit in Taunton between July 18 and 21 with expectations of rains on Day 2 and 3 during the game. The pitch would assist the fast bowlers during the start and begin to offer assistance to the spinners from Day 2 given the amount of cricket that has been played here during this busy season. 

VENUE 

The Cooper Associates County Ground, Taunton being a small ground has been a good place for the batters. The track has traditionally assisted the fast bowlers early in the innings and also the spinners as the pitch starts to wear down. Batters who dig their ground on this wicket have done well historically. 

The side winning the toss would like to bat first on this wicket as the pitch is likely to get slower as the game progresses and batting on Day 4 would be quite a challenge. With predictions for overcast conditions on Day 2 and 3 it is going to be a big challenge for the side losing the toss.
