England Women are having a tough time in the Ashes series so far. After being whitewashed in the ODIs and barely drawing the Test Match they lost the first T20I by a huge margin of 93 runs. The Australia Women team has looked too good for them and they are failing to compete. The visitors thrashed the bowling attack in the last game and also bowled really well defending their big score.
It has been a home series where England Women have drawn blank so far and look short of confidence as they go into the next game. They have to play good cricket and overcome the mental roadblock to test the Australian team. It would be interesting to see how the team approaches the next game as they are up against a tough opponent.

Heather Knight’s team has last chance at salvaging their lost pride as they take on Australia Women in the next game. In the last game, their bowling performance was bad and they also didn’t live up to the expectations while batting. Knight would want her side to do well in the next game.
Natalie Sciver, Lauren Winfield, Katherine Brunt, and Laura Marsh did well with the bat and that summarises the batting performance from the side as there was hardly any contribution that came from the top 3 Danielle Wyatt, Tammy Beaumont and Amy Ellen Jones. These three along with skipper Knight will have to play well for the side to win the next game.
The bowling performance was ordinary in the last game as only two of their bowlers managed an economy under ten runs an over. Kate Cross, Anya Shrubsole and Brunt have to do well with the ball in the next game for the side to win. They would need to have good support from Sophie Ecclestone and Marsh in the game.

Meg Lanning’s side is having a great tour and their performance in the last game would have made the skipper really happy. They not only won the game but decimated their opponents. Their batting was a treat to see and they followed up with the same determination while bowling. Lanning would want the side to keep up with the same momentum in the next game.
Meg Lanning hit a brilliant hundred in the game and was well supported by Beth Mooney and Ashleigh Gardner. While it was a rare failure for Alyssa Healy she would be looking to do well in the next game. With Ellyse Perry, Rachael Haynes and Sophie Molineux in the lower order the batting looks extremely strong for the side.
Ellyse Perry is having a great run in this tour and she impressed with her bowling performance in the last game. Megan Schutt also bowled well and they were well supported by Jess Jonassen and Delissa Kimmince. They have a good bowling line-up and shall look to do well in the next game as well.

The weather prediction for Hove is of clear skies on July 28. The pitch which has soaked in rain in the last couple of days might be a little difficult in the first few overs but the batters would enjoy batting here as the ball comes on to the bat nicely. The side batting first would have to put up a big score to win.
VENUE
County Ground, Hove has been a good T20 batting wicket. While hitting the ball over the park isn’t easy given the large size of the ground the bounce and pace are true and this allows batters to hit through the line. Fast bowlers get some assistance from this surface in the early overs of the game.
The conditions are likely to be good for batting after the first few overs have been bowled. Sides that have batted first on this ground have done well over the years and we expect to see the skipper winning the toss decided to bat first and make good use of the excellent batting conditions.
Host England Women are struggling at the moment and the manner in which they lost the 1st T20i would have hurt their confidence. Australia Women, on the other hand, is going strong and they would look to continue with the same momentum. It would require a huge heart from the hosts to defeat the Aussies. Given the form and confidence levels, we expect Australia Women to start as favorites in this game.
