The points table is taking shape in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020 and in the next Group B game England Women would be taking on West Indies Women. With back to back wins in their last two games England Women have strengthened their stake for a place in the semi-finals. They would be looking to seal it with a win in the next game.
West Indies Women come into this one having suffered a big loss and must win this one to keep their hopes alive. West Indies Women have lost the last nine out of ten games they have played and the team is going through a poor run of form. There have been individual brilliance but as a team, they have failed so far. England Women, on the other hand, have been consistent and this would add to the confidence level in their camp as they take on West Indies.

It was a clinical show from Heather Knight’s in the last game against Pakistan Women which they won easily by 42 runs. With back to back wins the side looks in good form at the moment after the setback against South Africa in their opening contest. They will target winning this one and booking a berth for themselves in the semifinals. The concern for the side would be the form of Danielle Wyatt and Amy Ellen Jones as the pair hasn’t been able to offer a good start in three games.
The skipper would want a good show from them. The middle-order looks rock solid with Natalie Sciver, Knight and Fran Wilson stroking the ball well. Down the order, the likes of Tammy Beaumont and Katherine Brunt also bring in good hitting abilities to the table. Their bowlers have done well in the last two games and bowled tight lines.
This gives the die edge going into this game. Anya Shrubsole and Brunt will look for another solid performance with the new ball. Sophie Ecclestone and Sarah Glenn with their good form would look to make it tough for the West Indies in the next game.

It was an extremely poor show from Stafanie Taylor’s team in their last game against Pakistan Women. Their batters were tied down and failed to play according to the pace of the game putting up only 124 runs on the table that led to an 8-wicket loss. They will have to come out fighting in this game to win it and have an eye on the semifinal.
Openers Lee-Ann Kirby and Hayley Matthews have failed in both the games and this are worrying for the team against the good bowling attack that England Women have. Taylor and Shemaine Campbelle are looking in good form. In this all-important game the side would need good support from the likes of Deandra Dottin, Chinelle Henry and Chedean Nation down the order.
Their bowling attack has fared well in both the games and this is good news for the team. New ball pair of Shamilia Connell and Shakera Selman will need to exploit the poor form that England openers are in at the moment. Anisa Mohammed, Hayley Matthews, and Afy Fletcher have also done well so far and would be looking to continue with their form.

The weather would be clear over Sydney on March 01 and we shall have a good game of cricket. The pitch is expected to be on the slower side as lot of cricket has been played here in the last few months. The slow nature of the surface would create doubts in the minds of the batters and a score in the range of 150 would be a good one here.
Sydney Showground Stadium is a good game for T20 cricket as it offers something to the batters as well as the bowlers. Batters need to work hard and accumulate runs on this surface. Spinners have done well here in the past as the track offers good assistance to them.
We are seldom seeing sides winning the toss and opting to bat in this edition of ICC Women’s T20 World Cup. The template seems to be about restricting the opponents to a low total. Going into the next game we expect the skipper winning the toss to try out the same formula by choosing to bowl first.
West Indies Women come into this game after a big loss where their batting approach raised many questions. They haven’t won too many games for the past 12 months and this is likely to affect their confidence level. England Women, on the other hand, has shown good form in the last couple of games which they have won easily.
Taking the form of the two sides into account we believe England Women would start as the outright favorites in this game.
