Heather Knight must be a proud captain as her team has shown consistency against West Indies Women in the series. The third match is expected to go in her favour. In the 2nd ODI, her team showed skill and finesse in all departments.
Tammy Beaumont was their star batter putting in 61 runs in 83 balls followed by Natalie Sciver who made 35 runs in 34 balls. Sarah Taylor, Katherine Brunt and Anya Shrubsole also did well with the bat. England Women’s top and middle order batters are in good form and they are expected to perform admirably in the upcoming match against West Indies.
England Women’s bowling was also top notch. Anya Shrubsole and Kate Cross pocketed two wickets each. In four overs, Cross conceded only 4 runs. Though Sophie Ecclestone and Heather Knight proved to be slightly expensive with the ball, England shouldn’t be worried with the overall performance of the bowlers and they would be looking to make it three in three.

Though the West Indies Women team has lost the series, by playing to their strengths the team can still show their caliber in an international platform. They lacked discipline and team spirit in the previous two matches which cost them the series. In the third and final match, Stafanie Taylor should bring the playing 11 together so that they play as a team.
Middle-order batter Shemaine Campbelle was the only West Indian to have made some runs in the last match. Opener Hayley Matthews did show some promise in the first few overs but couldn’t remain in the crease and got out after a good start. The others simply followed suit and couldn’t resist the formidable English bowling attack.
The bowlers couldn’t restrict the scorecard and conceding runs easily. The only bowler who made a considerable impact was Afy Fletcher who took 3 wickets in 8 overs. Though Shamilia Connell, Hayley Matthews, Chinelle Henry and Stafanie Taylor each took a wicket, they gave away far too many runs.

It is going to be partly cloudy with chances of rain at Chelmsford on June 13. This will make the conditions difficult for batting as the ball will seam around. The pitch has been a good one to bat on in the recent games and we expect a score of around 270-280 runs for the team batting first.
Venue
The Chelmsford County Ground has favored the batters in the recent past. It is expected that the batters, irrespective of the weather conditions will score runs as the game progresses. The bowlers have an early advantage which can turn the match in their favor.
Since it is a good batting pitch, batters can expect to stay in their crease for long, especially if they can face the fast bowlers in the initial overs. The team winning the toss should be batting first so that they can put up a good figure on the scorecard. Defending should be easier on this ground.
West Indies Women have toppled like a pack of cards in the first two matches against a stronger England Women team. If they continue to succumb to pressure there isn’t much hope for them. But their skipper must remember that she had a talented team with her and under proper guidance can completely change the results of the third match. England Women is definitely on top of things and should easily win this match. They have already won the series but another victory would add to their confidence and would start as favorites in this game.
