The Fort Charlotte Strikers would be up against the Dark View Explorers in the 19th game of the Vincy Premier League, 2020. The Strikers have been through an extremely poor run so far in the tournament and have not won a single game and lost all hopes of making it to the semifinals.
The Dark View Explorers are placed fifth on the points table and would like to use this opportunity to move up. In the last game, the Dark View Explorers lost to the Botanic Garden Rangers by 8 wickets and shall be looking to overcome that defeat. They had won against the Strikers earlier and this will give them confidence. As for the Strikers it was another big loss in the last game at the hands of the Grenadines Divers and they need to get their acts together to compete in the upcoming game.

Things are indeed looking bad for Keron Cottoy’s team at the moment and after six games the side hasn’t managed to earn its first points of the season. They lost to Grenadines Divers in the last game by 31 runs. As they go into this game Cottoy will want his side to restore some of their lost pride and confidence. Batting has been miserable for the side this season and the inability of their batsmen to set themselves on the crease hurt them in the last game.
The top-order comprising of Gidron Pope, Renrick Williams and Sealroy Williams need to provide the side with a good start and hope for the likes of Cottoy, Kirton Lavia and Chelson Stowe to fire towards the end Their bowlers haven’t been able to put pressure on the opponents so far in the tournament. Ray Jordan has done well but the rest of the bowling hasn’t performed up to the mark. Going into this game the side will expect a better show from the likes of Rasheed Fredericks, Stowe, Lavia and Cottoy.
Things are getting tough for Lindon James’ team as the side suffered another loss against the Botanic Gardens Rangers losing the game by 8 wickets. They are stuck at the fifth place on the points table and James will have to inspire confidence in his side to win this one and increase their odds of making it to the semifinals.
The batsmen seem to be struggling for now as they failed to capitalize on a good start. Shamon Hooper and Deron Greaves did well in the last game but the rest of the batting will need to make greater contributions. It will be important for the likes of James, Andrew Thomas and Kody Horne to score quick runs in the middle order to put pressure on their opponents.
Kemron Strough impressed with the ball in the last game and shall be looking to continue with his form. But the rest of the bowling attack will need to come up with a better show in the next game. It will be important for the likes of Deron Greaves, Thomas and Sealron Williams to bowl tighter spells in the next game.

The weather would be clear on May 28 at St Vincent and over the last days we have seen the pitch turn into a good batting surface unlike the start of the tournament. The ball comes on to the bat nicely and hence playing strokes is easy. The side that bats first will be targeting a score.
The small size of the ground at the Arnos Vale Sporting Complex, St. Vincent is a big advantage for the batsmen with the pitch having good bounce and carry. Spinners have done well on this surface as the odd ball grips and stops on the batsmen. Fast bowlers too get their bounce and pace with the new ball.
The last 12 games in this tournament have seen the side batting first emerge victorious on 10 occasions. There is less pressure on the side that bats first in the game and in such a scenario we expect the side winning the toss to opt to bat first in this game.
It has been miserable so far for the Fort Charlotte Strikers in this tournament and they have failed to impress in any of their games. The team has failed to deliver as a unit and will be looking for their first win. The Dark View Explorers have succumbed to pressure on more than one occasion so far in the series but they look a better side as compared to the Strikers and this will make them favorites in this game.
