It is the 5th game of the Vincy Premier League 2020 and the Fort Charlotte Strikers will be up against the Salt Pond Breakers. The Strikers made a poor start to their campaign losing to Dark View Explorers in their opening game of the tournament. Salt Pond Breakers, on the other hand, made a good start winning against the Grenadines Divers in their opening game of the season.
It will be interesting to see how the Fort Charlotte Strikers approach this game as their plans went for a toss in the previous contest. Their batsmen failed to push up the scoring and bowlers were all over the place. The Salt Pond Breakers too had their problems with the bat and this is one area that would look to improve in this game.

Keron Cottoy got off to a poor start in their first game where they lost to the Dark View Explorers by 8 wickets. Their batsmen failed to score quick runs handing over an easy win to their opponents. Cottoy will look forward to a better show with the bat and the ball from his players in the next game.
Gidron Pope played well opening the batting and so did Renrick Williams at No. 3 but the rest of the batsmen failed to impress in the match. In the upcoming game, skipper Cottoy along with Ronald Scott, Chelson Stowe, and Kirton Lavia will need to bat well for the side to do well against a strong bowling attack that the Breakers have.
Ray Jordan bowled economically in the last game and so did Sealroy Williams but they didn’t have the score on the board to defend. The rest of the bowling attack looked ordinary and the skipper would be expecting a better show with the ball from Chelson Stowe, Lavia, and Rasheed Fredericks in the next game.
Sunil Ambris’ side began their campaign on a positive note in the first game against the Grenadines Divers winning it by 3 wickets. While they batted exceedingly well there were some hiccups while batting. Ambris would hope his side bats well in the next game and moves up in the points table with a win.
Batting looked shaky at the top and the side will expect a good opening stand from Sunil Ambris and Rickford Walker in the next game. In the middle order the likes of Donwell Hector, Seon Sween, and Delorn Johnson will need to bat well. Urnel Thomas who played a match-winning knock in the last game adds to their batting strength.
Their bowlers put up an incredible show in the last game with Ambris and Delorn Johnson bowling extremely tight spells. Wesrick Strough and Hector also bowled well and shared 5 wickets between them in the last game. The bowling unit would be looking forward to a similar show in the next game.

The weather predictions for St. Vincent on May 23 are perfect and it would be a warm afternoon with clear skies. There is a bit of grass on the surface and this is creating doubts in the minds of the batsmen. Batsmen will have to get their eyes in before they start playing their strokes on this track.
Arnos Vale Sporting Complex, St. Vincent is a small ground that suits the hitters but the pitch also offers good assistance to the bowlers. The slow nature of the surface is excellent for the spinners who have done well at this venue in the past creating doubts in the minds of the batsmen.
The pitch hasn’t been the best one to bat on and batsmen have struggled to adjust to the pace of the surface. All the games so far have been won by sides chasing the score and hence the side winning the toss shall in all likelihood opt to bowl first in this game.
It will be a very important game for the Fort Charlotte Strikers after they suffered a big defeat in the last game. They will need to get over their shortcomings with the bat and the ball to do well here. The Salt Pond Breakers started with a win which wasn’t fully convincing as their batsmen struggled but they have a good team and this will give them an edge over the Strikers going into this game.
