The 6th game of the Vincy Premier League 2020 would see the Grenadines Divers take on the Botanic Gardens Rangers. Both sides are coming into this game after having lost their opening games.
The Rangers suffered a demoralizing loss against the La Soufriere Hikers while the Divers went down against the Salt Pond Breakers. Both teams would be looking to register their first win of the tournament in this match.
In their previous game, Grenadines Divers and Botanic Gardens Rangers had a bad day with the bat. On a difficult pitch their batsmen failed to apply themselves leading to this loss. The stakes are high in this tournament as the teams would be playing a game every day and a win here would lift up the spirits in either of the camps.

It was a below-par performance from Obed McCoy’s side in the first game against the Salt Pond Breakers where they lost by 3 wickets. They were bowled out for mere 69 runs and despite a spirited performance from their bowlers they lost the game. McCoy would want his side to put that behind and play positively in the next game.
Shem Browne looked good with the bat opening the batting but hardly found support at the other end. His opening partner Wayne Harper will need to do well in the next game. The likes of Tijorn Pope, Romano Pierre, and Asif Hooper must come up with better efforts with the bat for the side to be in a winning position.
Their bowlers fought well in the last game defending a low total with Geron Wyllie bowling good for his four wickets and also found support from Asif Hooper. McCoy will need to do well with the new ball in company of Tijorn Pope. With Braxie Browne in the side their bowling looks pretty strong.
Kesrick Williams’ side had started the tournament as one of the favorites but their poor show in the first game would have hurt the morale of the players and the fans. They suffered a thrashing 9- wicket loss at the hands of the La Soufriere Hikers. Williams will need to regroup his side for this very important game.
Their batsmen failed miserably to get the scoreboard ticking finishing with 70 runs in their 10 overs. Hyron Shallow and Atticus Browne will need to provide a flying start at a good strike-rate. The likes of Romel Currency, Kevin Abraham, and Kesrick Williams will need to push up the scoring rate. They failed to time bat to ball in the last game.
In the bowling department it was a horrible show in the last game as none of their bowlers were able to check the flow of runs. Nigel Small and Kimali Williams need to start off well with the new ball. Kesrick Williams must make good use of his experience and lead others such as Ray Charles and Casnel Morris.

It would be clear skies over St. Vincent on May 23 making conditions ideal for a game. The pitch is two-paced as we have seen in the last few games and has a thick grass cover over it. Batsmen need to get their eyes set in on this surface before starting to play their strokes. A score of 100 would be a good one on this surface.
Arnos Vale Sporting Complex, St. Vincent is a small venue and the boundary ropes have been further pulled in for this tournament. There is assistance for the bowlers on this surface but batsmen who have got their eyes set in are able to freely play their strokes and score runs at this venue.
On the opening day of the tournament all the three games were won by the side bowling first. There is some assistance on the surface for the bowlers and hence we expect the side winning the toss to elect bowling first on this surface.
There would be pressure on both sides as they are coming into this game having lost their opening encounters. Botanic Gardens Rangers had a very poor outing in the last game where their batsmen and bowlers looked short of the challenge. Grenadines Divers too had problems with the bat but their bowlers did put up a good show defending the low total. This will give them a slight edge as they go into this game.
