Men in blue are playing good all-round cricket across all the three formats of the game. In batting, the host-side possesses the top two ICC best ODI batsmen, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. Weather conditions are great in Mumbai on Tuesday and there is no forecast of rain. The wicket at the Wankhede offers help for both the pacers and spinners. Conditions help the swing bowlers considerably, especially during early hours of the day. Although the new ball does a bit in limited-overs cricket, the pitch tends to ease out and favour batsmen as the innings progresses. The venue provides great entertainment.
The first game of the three-match ODI series between India and Australia will be played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Tuesday.
Out of the last 24 completed ODI, 12 won by the team batting first and 12 by chasing team. 239 has been the average first inning score, while 205 in the second inning. Dew is likely to be there during the second inning and it’s going to play a major role. Hence we predict We anticipate the team winning the toss will look to bowl first.
Both sides are extremely balanced and play tough cricket. India got highly ranked batsman and bowler in the ODI. Also, they possess many star performers in the side.
On the other hand, Australia got few good top order batsmen but they have vulnerabilities in the middle-order batting and bowling. We expect it to be a thrilling contest but India will have an edge considering the recent performances.
