World Champions England seek redemption in the ODI series
Expect India to register a hard-fought win over England in series opener at Pune.

Host India will be looking to draw first blood when they face England in the first match of three-match ODI series, starting in Pune from Tuesday.
The home side has announced their full-strength squad for the limited-overs series. Skipper Virat Kohli will be hoping that side put in a disciplined performance in this opening clash.
On the other hand, England will take heart from the fact that they have shown excellent fight and determination to compete with India in their backyard. Given their performances in the T20I series, the visitors will be keen to bring their A-game to the table.

Uncapped pacer Prasidh Krishna, batsman Suryakumar Yadav and all-rounder Krunal Pandya have earned their maiden call-ups to the ODI squad after performing exceedingly well in the domestic 50-over competition played in India.

Shreyas Iyer, Lokesh Rahul and Rishabh Pant will make up the middle-order for India in this one-day series. Suryakumar Yadav could make his limited-overs debut as team management could drop Rahul from the playing XI due to poor form.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar made a splendid comeback to the national side and performed well in the T20I series. Pacer will form new-ball combination with Shardul Thakur for this opening clash. Washington Sundar and Yuzvendra Chahal will be two spinners for this game.
