Teams Preview

India

The focus in the game will be on two superstars –Indian opening batsman Rohit Sharma and Bowling all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin– both of them delivered scintillating performances to help India level four-match Test series.

Rohit Sharma, who played blistering knock of 161 runs on a turning wicket, will be looking to continue his merry ways with the bat in this pink-ball Test.

Another player who will be in focus during the game is India’s premier spinner Ravichandran Ashwin,  who will start the game with 394 wickets in the longest format of the game and will be looking to complete quadruple century of wickets in the five-day format.

As far as the team news is concerned, India will go in with three pacers –Ishant Sharma, Mohammed Siraj, Jasprit Bumrah – and one spinner in Ravichandran Ashwin. The home side might add Mayank Agarwal in place of Axar Patel, given the conditions might suit the seamers instead of spinners.

India Predicted Playing XI

Virat Kohli (captain), Ajinkya Rahane, Rishabh Pant (wk), Cheteshwar Pujara, Shubnam Gill, Mayank Agarwal/Axar Patel, Rohit Sharma, Mohammed Siraj, Ishant Sharma, Ravichandran Ashwin and Jasprit Bumrah.

England

On the other hand, Jonny Bairstow will be playing his first Test after not being picked for the first two matches of the series.

With Jonny Bairstow coming into the final XI, the visitors will be hoping to put on a strong show in this Test match.

In the batting department, the side will be heavily on in-form batsman Joe Root to deliver another big innings in this Pink Ball Test.

However, as per England’s captain Joe Root, James Anderson and Stuart Broad could be slotted into the playing XI in place of Moeen Ali and Olly Stone. Rory Burns might get dropped as Jonny Bairstow might be promoted to open the innings for England.

On the other hand, England will also go with the same formula of three pacers – Stuart Broad, James Anderson and Olly Stone – and one spinner in Jack Leach, whereas Joe Root will bowl his part-time spin if necessary.

England Predicted Playing XI

Dominic Sibley, Jonny Bairstow, Daniel Lawrence, Joe Root (captain), Ben Stokes, Ollie Pope, Ben Foakes (wk), Stuart Broad, James Anderson, Olly Stone, Jack Leach.
