India and West Indies to fight in the final match of the series for the title, as the series is leveled at 1-1!
India will win the match!

The ODI series is well poised as both the teams have won a match each in the series. West Indies defeated India in the first game played at Chennai, while the hosts could level the series by winning the second ODI by a huge margin at Visakhapatnam. The preceding T20I series went in favour of the hosts (2-1). A win here for West Indies, who had 1-0 early lead, would mean a lot as they already lost the T20 series here and ODI series back home earlier this year.
With an 80% winning ratio over West Indies in the past two decades, the hosts would be more confident to take on the visitors at Cuttack with an eye on the title.

In the decider match on Sunday, pacer Navdeep Saini may get to debut for India as Deepak Chahar is ruled out due to injury which he suffered during the second ODI. After losing the first ODI, India bounced back in the second game to secure the much-needed win to stay in the contest for the title. With Rohit Sharma's 159, KL Rahul's 102 and Kuldeep Yadav's hat-trick, India thrashed West Indies by 107 runs after scoring 387 runs batting first. Mohammad Shami was in his usual touch as he took 3 wickets for 39. The team would want to improve on fielding as it has been a concern for the team, especially dropped catches, as admitted by Kohli in the post-match presentation. The skipper may also be desired to go off the mark the first ball he plays in the final and provide a significant contribution aiming at the series-win.
From recent 10 ODIs, Rohit Sharma (551 runs average 61.22, strike rate 99.10) has been the top-scorer for India, followed by Virat Kohli (437 runs, average 62.42, strike rate 94.79) while Mohammed Shami (22 wickets in last 9 matches) is in charge of the bowling.

Shimron Hetmyer and Shai Hope’s magnificent innings powered visitors the win in the first ODI. In the second, the visitors faced a steep challenge from Indian openers as the bowlers, especially Cottrell (9 overs 83 for 2) Keemo Paul (7 overs 57 for 1), Roston Chase (5 overs 48 for 0) were too expensive, while Holder and Pierre went wicket-less, allowing the hosts to score just under 390. During the chase, the openers gave a decent start before Lewis fell for 30, but Hope went on to score 75 runs, making 106 in partnership with Nicholas Pooran who smashed 75 off just 47 balls. Pooran fell for Shami while Hope became the first victim of Kuldeep Yadav’s hat-trick of wickets. After Kohli, West Indies skipper Pollard too got out on a duck. Overall it was a good outing for the visitors barring last 20 overs with the ball which cost them the game, and probably the series.
Shai Hope is in the superb form as he scored 453 runs in the last 10 matches while Pooran amassed 448 runs at the strike rate of 120.10, while Sheldon Cottrell (10 wickets in last 8 matches) is the leading wicket-taker.

The surface at cuttak looks very good for batting and any team would want to bat first in a decider like this. The team winning the toss may go for batting first.
Defeating India, in India is a challenging task for any team. West Indies after winning the first ODI had put India under check for a while, but it did not last too long as the hosts bounced back to win the second ODI by a huge margin.
With Indian top-order in such great form, West Indies bowlers will have to stick to the game plan. Shai Hope, Hetmyer and Pooran have shown their mettle already. It is going to be a very fascinating, thrilling final between India and West Indies. However, overall statistics and home conditions favor the number 2 ICC ranked team India against ICC ranked 2 West Indies.
Thus, we predict that India will defeat West Indies as Virat Kohli & his boys will lift one more trophy this year.
