India Women to win this game!

The South Africa side would have to play for pride in the last game of the 5-match T20 series. With two games being washed away due to rain the Indians have taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series after winning the last game. In the two games played so far the South African side hasn’t been able to apply pressure on the Indians.
Their batting form has left much to be desired by their fans as in both the games where their batters have let the side down. South Africa Women have a poor record against the Indians and have so far won only once against the hosts. Their batters have looked nowhere close to being able to negotiate the challenge that has been thrown at them by Indian Women. The side will have to approach the game with a positive frame of mind if they are to do well against the confident Indians.

Harmanpreet Kaur would be happy with the performance of her side in the series so far. They have won two games and the series with another two being washed away by rain. In the last game they defeated their opponents comprehensively. The side would now aim to seal the series 3-0 by winning the last game. Batting looks strong for the side with Shafali Verma and Jemimah Rodrigues scoring runs in the top order in the last game. Smriti Mandhana is struggling a bit and shall look to do well in the next game.
Harmanpreet Kaur, Deepti Sharma and Veda Krishnamurthy form a strong middle order and shall look to score quick runs in the next game and apply pressure on the South African bowlers. The bowling attack looks strong for the Indians with Deepti Sharma and Poonam Yadav in great form at the moment. They have bowled tight spells in both the games so far. Pooja Vastrakar also bowled well in the last game and so did Radha Yadav. Going into the next game this bowling attack is likely to dominate the South Africans.
Smriti Mandhana, Veda Krishnamurthy, Taniya Bhatia, Deepti Sharma, Anuja Patil, Poonam Yadav, Jemimah Rodrigues, Mansi Joshi, Harmanpreet Kaur, Shafali Verma, Arundhati Reddy

Suné Luus’ side has been schooled by the Indians so far in the series and this would upset the skipper. It was a poor show by their batters in the last game where none of them stood up to the challenge thrown by the Indians. Having lost the series already she would like her girls to play for pride and win this one ahead of the ODI series. Tazmin Brits and Laura Wolvaardt got starts in the last game but failed to convert them into big scores.
They were behind the asking rate and would need to score briskly in the next game. None of the other batters managed to reach double-digit scores in the last game. The likes of Lizelle Lee, Nadine de Klerk and Mignon du Preez will need to make contributions for the side to win the fifth T20. Nadine de Klerk and Shabnim Ismail bowled well in the last game and applied pressure on the Indians but others failed to check the Indian batters. The side would look for a better show from Luus, Ayabonga Khaka and Tumi Sekhukhune in the next game if they are to take on the strong Indian batting line-up.

The series has been marred by rain so far and it is expected to remain the same in the last game on October 04. The pitch is a challenging one to bat on but batters who dig their ground would do well here. It is a pitch where batters would decide success of their respective sides. A score of 150 runs on this surface would be a fighting total.
Lalabhai Contractor Stadium, Surat is a challenging wicket to bat on. The fast bowlers get assistance from the surface early on in the game and the spinners also get their bounce. Batters have to stick to the wicket and play to the merit of the ball to score on this surface.
The weather is expected to be cloudy with chances of rain. The ball is expected to move around a bit in the early overs. The pitch has so far assisted the bowlers. The captain winning the toss would look to bowl first on this surface and restrict the opposition to a low total.
The series so far has been a one-sided show where Indians have dominated the South African side. The visitors haven’t been able to apply pressure on the Indians as their batting has looked below par. They have already lost the series and would be playing for pride in the next game. The Indian team riding on its form would definitely start as favorites to win this one and seal the series 3-0.
