South Africa Women would feel the heat when they meet India Women in the third game of the five-match T20 series.
The visitors lost the first game and the second one was washed away by rain. They will need to win this one to keep their hopes alive of winning the series. A win here for India Women would take them a step closer to winning the series and the hosts would be aiming to humble their rivals once more.
South Africa Women will have to play out of their skins in the next game considering the kind of challenge they would be up against. The Indian bowlers are in great form and in these conditions, the batters will look to avoid the mistakes of the last game. The visitors have a poor record against the Indians and this is something they will have to overcome in the next game.

Harmanpreet Kaur would be aware of the fact that the pressure is now on the South African side to perform. Her team did well in the first game to defend a low total. But the Indian skipper would be worried about the form of her batters who had a poor outing in the game. With the pitch likely to be tricky to bat on the batters will need to do well in the game.
The Indian team would need a good start from Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma at the top as both these players were dismissed early in the last game. Harmanpreet Kaur looks solid and played a good knock in the last game. The team would also look for the better show with the bat from Jemimah Rodrigues, Deepti Sharma and Veda Krishnamurthy towards the end of the innings against the good bowling attack that South Africa has.
The bowlers did an excellent job in the first game and pulled off a near-impossible win and the skipper would expect the same show especially from Deepti Sharma, Shikha Pandey, and Poonam Yadav. Pooja Vastrakar will need to do well with the new ball as she looked out of form in the last game and also Kaur has to play the role of a fifth bowler well
It is now a big challenge for Suné Luus’ team with the series hanging in India’s favor. After the disappointing performance that her side put up in the first game, she would want them to make a strong comeback. Luus would be happy with the weather conditions as they are likely to assist the fast bowlers which might work in her side’s favor.
In the batting department, the side will hope to avoid repeating mistakes from the first game. Lizelle Lee and Tazmin Brits will need to provide the side with a good start going into this game. In the middle order, Nadine de Klerk and Laura Wolvaardt needs to play a strong hand. The side would also expect good batting from Mignon du Preez who did well in the first game and also Nondumiso Shangase and Luus to do the hitting towards the end of the innings.
The bowling attack is looking very solid ahead of the match with Ayabonga Khaka and Shabnim Ismail in great form. They will have to pick wickets with the new ball. Tumi Sekhukhune and Nadine de Klerk shall look to continue with their good show with the ball and expect good support from Nonkululeko Mlaba and Nondumiso Shangase to prevent Indians from scoring quick runs.

The weather at Surat on September 27 might play spoilsport as there are predictions for rains during the game. The pitch was a difficult one to bat on in the first game and is likely to remain the same in the upcoming game. Fast bowlers would enjoy bowling in these conditions and any score of 150 runs or more would be a good score on this surface.
Lalabhai Contractor Stadium, Surat is a difficult surface to bat on in overcast conditions as the ball tends to move fairly. The pitch is flat the two-paced nature of the surface creates doubts in the mind of the batsmen but the shorter boundaries make it easy to score here. Spinners too have done well on this surface.
The pitch is likely to be moist after the rain and would offer assistance to the bowlers in the early overs of the game. The batters would find it hard to adjust to the pace of the wicket and the side bowling first would have an advantage in this game.
The rain washout in the second game has increased the pressure on South Africa Women. They need to win the third game to stay alive in the series but their batting form seems fragile at the moment. India Women have their own struggles with batting but their bowlers are in great form and this will add to the confidence of the side. Playing at home India Women would start as favorites to win this game.
