They let go of their premium players this auction but they filled those gaps with the likes of Eoin Morgan, Tom Banton, and Pat Cummins. Eoin Morgan with his astute cricketing mind and composure gives the team an unmatchable balance.
The opening slot is yet to be predicted with few names popping. Gill-Narine or Gill-Banton, either way, is dangerous. The middle-order is stronger than ever with T20 specialist Eoin Morgan in the side. N Rana and D Karthik contributed significantly with the bat last year. Rana scored 344 runs with a strike rate of 146.38 whereas Karthik scored 253 runs striking at 146.24. Russell will be handling the lower order with all the authority.
In the bowling department, the standards were down last year. Well, the world's best bowler in the side now. Pat Cummins will be crucial for KKR along with the youngsters Shivam Mavi and K Nagerkotti. Sunil Narine and Kuldeep Yadav will put their best foot forward this year.
