Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalandars fight for coveted PSL trophy

Host Karachi Kings will be looking to clinch their maiden PSL trophy when they take on Lahore Qalandars in the finals of 2020 Pakistan Super League at National Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.
Karachi Kings will be keen to deliver their best cricket in their first-ever PSL final and win their maiden trophy. Captain Imad Wasim will be hoping that the premier players can rise to the occasion and deliver the goods with bat and ball.

Captain Imad Wasim put in crucial innings for Karachi Kings in the Qualifier 1 game and smashed unbeaten 27 off 16 balls with the help of two fours and one six.
In the bowling department, the likes of Imad Wasim, Arshad Iqbal and Mohammad Amir will need to make crucial breakthroughs. Arshad Iqbal and Waqas Maqsood bowled well and claimed two wickets, whereas Imad Wasim picked one up wicket in his two overs

In the Qualifier 2 game, Lahore Qalandars batted first after Multan Sultans won the toss and opted to bowl first. Openers Tamim Iqbal and Fakhar Zaman got the side off to a flying start, courtesy 46-run partnership for the opening wicket.
Tamim Iqbal was first to be dismissed after scoring 30 runs off 20 balls with the help of five boundaries and one six. Captain Sohail Akhtar’s poor form continued as he perished for a low score to see Qalandars lose their second wicket with 54 runs on the board.
Fakhar Zaman found form with the bat in this knockout game and stitched crucial partnerships with Tamim Iqbal and Mohammad Hafeez. Left-hander smashed 46 runs off 36 balls with the help of four boundaries and two sixes.
With Zaman falling four shorts of a half-century and Ben Dunk dismissed by Shahid Afridi in the 14th over, it looked like Lahore Qalandars to go past 150-run mark.
All-rounder duo of David Wiese and Samit Patel came together at the crease and turned the game in favor of Lahore Qalandars with a 59-run partnership.
For Lahore Qalandars, David Wiese smashed 48 not out off 21 balls with the help of five boundaries and three sixes. He was well supported by Samit Patel, who chipped in with 26 runs off 16 balls with the help of four boundaries.
In the bowling department, the side will be depending on the likes of Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf and Dilbar Hussain to pick up wickets in this grand finale.
Left-arm quick Shaheen Shah Afridi is currently leading wicket-taker in the competition with 15 scalps to his name.
Haris Rauf, David Wiese claimed three wickets in the Qualifier 2 game against Multan Sultans, whereas Shaheen Shah Afridi and Dilbar Hussain claimed two wickets each.
