MI and CSK are the most successful teams in the IPL history as they share 8 titles and 13 final appearances between them. In the IPL 2021 edition, CSK is brimming with confidence following its success so far. Following the defeat in the opening game of the season, CSK came back strong and won five consecutive games. Currently, with 10 points from 6 matches and good NRR, they are strongly placed at top of the table. Men in yellow looked rock-solid in both and batting and bowling and different players stood up and won the game for the side. Notably, the opening duo of Gaikwad and Faf Du Plessis is in great form. The weather forecast in Delhi on Saturday is mostly sunny and very warm. The pitches at Delhi this year looks good for both batting bowling. We have seen in the last two games, the surface gets better and better as the game progresses. 156 is the average first inning score at this venue and 145 is the average second inning score.
The match will be played at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
Both the earlier games at this venue were won by a chasing team very convincingly. Also, taking into consideration the dew factor in the second inning, both teams would look to bowl first after winning the toss.
Any MI-CSK clash is a marquee match-up. It’s a rivalry that has, over the last decades, acquired dynamics of its own. CSK is on song in the IPL 2021 edition after a five-wins in a row, on the other hand, defending champion MI looks average this season. However, MI’s bowling attack is very formidable when compared with CSK and statistically as well MI holds the upper hand with six wins from the last seven games opposite CSK. So, we expect it to be a thrilling game, but Mumbai Indians will be a favourite in this game.
We predict Mumbai Indians will win this match.
