Tournament favorites Adelaide Strikers would be battling it out versus a nearly evicted Melbourne Stars Women in an attempt to get hold of the top spot in the points tally. Led by Suzie Bates, Strikers Women have won five out of eight matches and are currently seated at the second spot in the WBBL rankings.
On the other hand, Melbourne Stars Women would have nearly lost the will to compete in the playoffs of the Women's T20 tournament. The Elyse Villani-captained side is placed at the bottom of the points table with merely a sole win in eight matches and seven losses to their name. The Stars would have to pull off a Houdini if they are still vying for a place in the knockouts.

Melbourne Stars Women would be banking on the prowess of skipper Elyse Villani and Lizelle Lee for laying a decent score in the initial overs of play. Mignon du Preez and Annabel Sutherland scored decent knocks in the game against Brisbane Women and along with Katey Martin would play a crucial role in the middle-order in the upcoming contest.
Spinners Erin Osborne and Madeline Penna have been the go-to figures in the bowling department, and along with Nicola Hancock could prove lethal for Suzie Bates & Co at Nuriootpa.

Adelaide Strikers have rendered stupendous performances so far and would look to stay supreme in the forthcoming games as well. The top-order trio of Sophie Devine, Tahlia McGrath, and skipper Suzie Bates have been phenomenal with the bat in the ongoing edition of WBBL. The likes of Bridget Patterson and Lauren Winfield have been quite solid under crunch moments, and along with Katie Mack and wicket-keeper Tegan McPharlin could ensure a healthy scoring rate for the tourists in the game against Stars Women.
Bowling wise they have been excellent till now with Amanda Wellington, Sarah Coyte, and Sophie Devine taking 26 wickets in total. The trio would be backed to address few more dismissals in the upcoming games as well.

It is going to be a mostly sunny day at Nuriootpa with the temperature hovering between 18-20 degrees Celsius. The weather might become a bit cloudy during the second innings, allowing the pacers to extract wickets at regular intervals. Any score above 150 would be a par total at this venue.
With the bat would be coming onto the ball pretty decently, one would expect the batters to lay a dominance throughout this game.
The toss winning captain should consider batting first at this venue. The pitch has got a decent amount of pace and bounce and taking into account the form of both team's players, one should expect a belter of a contest in the coming duel.
Adelaide Strikers Women have the momentum favoring them and would have the advantage to surface victorious in the coming encounter. The Suzie Bates-led side had their previous outing versus Melbourne Stars Women and would be hoping to register another scintillating triumph in the upcoming game versus the hosts at Nuriootpa.
