Match Preview

It was expected to be a closely fought series but in the end, hosts the Netherlands have put up a dismal show so far. They have not only lost all the three games so far in the series but haven’t even been able to put up a stiff challenge for the United Arab Emirates. The visitors have had a walk in the park so far winning all the games easily. They have batted well and their bowlers have shown good form in the three games played so far.

Being 3-0 down in the home series the Netherlands are suffering from a confidence issue in the tournament. Some of their big players have failed while the newcomers haven’t lived up to the expectations. It will be interesting to see what kind of approach they come up within the next game.

Teams Preview

Netherlands

Pieter Seelaar would be terribly upset with the kind of form his side has shown in the series so far. They have been all over the place with the bat and the ball. Their top order is looking fragile and the skipper would want his side to stand up to the challenge in the next game and restore some lost pride.

Max O’Dowd did well in the last game but there has been hardly any contribution from others. Ben Cooper who had done well in other games failed in the last one. Antonius Steel also failed with the bat. The likes of Saqib Zulfiqar, Sikander Zulfiqar, and Seelaar will need to contribute with the bat for the side to do well in the next game.

Seelar has been bowling well in the series and it was a good to show from Sebastiaan Braat in the last game but the rest of the bowlers haven’t been able to support the skipper well. The likes of Brandon Glover and Philippe Boissevian shall have to apply pressure on UAE batsmen for the side to win.

Netherlands Predicted Playing XI

Pieter Seelaar (C), Antonius Staal, Max ODowd, Ben Cooper, Saqib Zulfiqar, Hidde Overdijk, Sikander Zulfiqar, Scott Edwards (wk), Sebastiaan Braat, Philippe Boissevain, Brandon Glover

United Arab Emirates

Muhammad Naveed would be extremely happy winning the series 3-0. With an opportunity to whitewash the Dutch side in the next game he wouldn’t want to let go of this opportunity. He side has played hard cricket in the three games so far and he would want to finish on a winning note.

Ashfaq Ahmed did well in the last game and scripted the win for his side. It was a good show from Darius D'Silva and Rameez Shahzad who made important contributions with the bat. Rohan Mustafa has also batted well in the series so far and having Muhammad Usman and Ghulam Shabber in the side makes them a strong batting unit.

Ahmed Raza bowled well in the last game and there were good contributions from Rohan Mustafa and Qadeer Ahmed playing his first game in the series. Naveed along with Zawar Farid will look to support them well in the next game.

United Arab Emirates Predicted Playing XI

Muhammad Naveed (C), Ashfaq Ahmed, Rohan Mustafa, Ghulam Shabber, Rameez Shahzad, Muhammad Usman, Mohammad Boota, Ahmed Raza, Qadeer Ahmed, Darius D'Silva, Zawar Farid

Pitch And Weather Conditions

It would be slightly cloudy at The Hague on August 08. The pitch wasn’t the best for T20 cricket but batsmen who held their ground scored in the game. Fast bowlers got good support from the wicket in the early overs and a score of around 150 runs would be a good total on this track.

VENUE

Sportpark Westvliet, The Hague offers good support to the batsmen as well as the bowlers. The fast bowlers get a good bargain from the surface while batting becomes easy as the game progresses. Spinners also have got a good bargain from this wicket in the last few games.

Toss Prediction

There is early moisture on the surface which assists the fast bowlers and batting gets easier as the game goes on. The side bowling first has always had an advantage on this surface and we expect the skipper winning the toss to bowl first on this surface.

Winning Prediction

It has been a one-sided series so far where the United Arab Emirates has dominated with the bat and the ball. Netherlands were blown away by the kind of performance they have seen from UAE a side against whom they had never lost before the start of this series. The hosts have suffered from the problem of indiscipline with the ball failing to apply pressure on their opponents. Going into this game UAE would start favorites to make it 4-0.
