It is the 14th game in the Mzansi Super League and hosts Nelson Mandela bay Giants would be taking on Durban Heat at St George's Park, Port Elizabeth. The hosts come into this game after an impressive win and have won all their games so far in the league.
The side is beaming confidence at the moment. The story has been different for Durban Heat as the side is still looking for its first win of the season. It will be a big challenge for the Durban Heat given the kind of form they have shown. Rain playing spoilsport in three of their four games hasn’t helped matters as their players are short of match practice going into the fifth game of the season. It will be interesting to see how the Heat plays against the Giants who aren’t likely to offer them any favors in the game.

JJ Smut’s side was clinical in the big chase in the last game against the Cape Town Blitz. The side ended up chasing a target of 187 runs with five wickets remaining. This would have given them lot of confidence having done so against a good bowling line-up. The skipper would want his men to carry this confidence into the next game.
Smuts was brilliant with the bat playing a match-winning knock in the last game. Marco Marais and Ben Dunk also supported him well in the last game. The side would, however, expect a good start from Jason Roy and Matthew Breetzke as the openers had a bad outing in the last game. Chris Morris batting down the order adds to the side’s batting strength.
Bowling is the area the side would look to improve in the next game. Nandre Burger and Chris Morris will look to provide a good start with the new ball. With the likes of Junior Dala and Imran Tahir in the side, they have good strength in the bowling department and they will look to deliver better performance in the next game.

Dane Vilas’ side is in a spot of bother at the moment. Three of their games have been washed and they have lost the fourth game. They wouldn’t have been too unhappy with the rains in the last game as they were struggling when rain intervened. It is now a must-win game for the side and Vilas would want to see the best show from the otherwise talented squad. At the top Alex Hales and Wesley Marshall need to provide the side with a good side.
This is the area the side has been struggling the most. Wihan Lubbe, Vilas and David Miller solidify the batting line for the side in the middle and shall need to score runs in the game. In Ravi Bhopara and Andile Phehlukwayo, the side has a good finishing pair. The new ball pair of Kyle Abbott and Marco Jansen will have to pick wickets early. They failed to do so in the last game. None of the bowlers have looked threatening which has compounded the problem for the side. In Phehlukwayo and Keshav Maharaj, the side has quality bowlers and they will need to use their experience well in the next game.

The weather is expected to be clear over Port Elizabeth on November 23 with the odd clouds in the sky. The wicket is expected to be pacey and flat which will allow batsmen to play their shots freely. The side that bats first will have to eye a score of around 170 runs to feel safe on this kind of a wicket.
St George's Park, Port Elizabeth is a good venue for the batsmen. The true bounce and pace on the surface allow stroke-making while the fast outfield also aids the batsmen.
Fast bowlers have done well with the new ball on this surface while the spinners have to bowl extremely tight lines to pick wickets here.
The two games that have been so far played at Port Elizabeth have been high scoring encounters. The pitch has been a good one to bat on. The side winning the toss would like to take advantage of the surface and aim to put up a big score on the board by batting first.
The Nelson Mandela Bay Giants would be going into this game with full confidence. They are currently leading on the points table and haven’t lost a game so far in the tournament. Playing at home on a flat surface they look in a great position to make use of the home advantage.
Durban Heat, on the other hand, is struggling at the moment and hasn’t been able to register a win it. The odds are highly stacked in favor of the Bay Giants to win this game convincingly.
