Nelson Mandela Bay Giants to win this game!
T&Cs apply, 18+
It is the 23rd game of the Mzansi Super League 2019 and it will be a clash of titans. Nelson Mandela Bay Giants will be taking on Tshwane Spartans at their home ground St George's Park, Port Elizabeth. The sides are currently ranked No. 2 and 3 in the points table and have played well in the season. Both teams are coming into this game after suffering a loss in their previous games and would look to get back into winning ways.
The previous match between the two sides was washed away due to rain. In that game, the Bay Giants have had an upper hand and they would have been upset to have shared the points. It will be a tough contest between the two sides given their relative strengths. The Bay Giants who have played well at home apart from their last game will look to make the most out of their home advantage.

Back to back losses have suddenly created pressure on JJ Smut’s side. In the last game against the Durban Heat, the side went down by 6 wickets due to their ordinary bowling performance in the game. They sit No. 2 in the points table at the moment and the skipper would want the side to win it at their home ground.
Batting wise the side did well in the last game with openers Jason Roy and Ben Dunk playing well. JJ Smuts has looked good so far in the season. Heino Kuhn, Chris Morris, Ryan ten Doeschate and Marcos Marais can hit the ball hard and they will need to do it against the good bowling attack that their opponents have.
As far as bowling goes Imran Tahir has done well in the season and Chris Morris also bowled well in the last game. It is, however, the form of other bowlers that is creating problems for the side. Beuran Hendricks and Junior Dala will have to check the flow of runs against the strong batting line-up that the Spartans have in the next game.
Ben Dunk, Junior Dala, Heino Kuhn, Akhona Mnyaka, Marco Marais, Chris Morris, Matthew Breetzke, RN ten Doeschate, JJ Smuts, B Hendricks, Imran Tahir

It was the first taste of defeat for Heinrich Klaasen’s side in the tournament. Against all odds, the strong batting line up didn’t deliver the goods in the last game as the side went down by 15 runs against Cape Town Blitz. Klaasen will want his men to get that defeat off their heads and focus on winning the next game.
In terms of batting their top 3 Dean Elgar, Theunis de Bruyn and Wiaan Mulder failed in the last game and need to do well in the next one. AB de Villiers continues to look good and shall have to play an important role in this match along with Klaasen. With Petrus van Biljon looking in great form at the moment and Roelof van der Merwe lower down the order batting looks strong for the side.
In the bowling department, Morne Morkel and Lungi Ngidi are having a great season and they will need to do well with the new ball. Tom Curran has also done well and so has Mulder. The bowling form of Lutho Sipamla is a concern for the side and he has to do well in the next game.

There would be cloud cover at Port Elizabeth on December 3rd and the fast bowlers will enjoy on this surface. The pitch has been a good one to bat on in the games played this season where the ball is coming onto the bat nicely. The side batting first will need a score around the 180 run mark to feel comfortable on this surface.
St George's Park, Port Elizabeth is a good wicket for the batsmen and the fast bowlers. There is pace and bounce on the surface. Spinners haven’t done well on this ground and the small size of the pitch makes it easy to hit boundaries here.
In the four games played so far twice the side batting first has won and on remaining occasions the side fielding first. It is a good pitch to bat on and there have been high scoring games. We expect the side winning the toss to bat first on this surface and attempt at a big score.
The Nelson Mandela Bay Giants and the Tshwane Spartans have done well in this season. The sides are currently ranked No. 2 and 3 in the points table with only net run rate separating them. As they go into the next game both sides would be looking to win this one and move to the second spot in the table.
It will be a close contest between the two sides but Nelson Mandela Bay Giants with their home advantage would start ahead in the game and shall be favorites to win this one.
