Tournament favorites Northern Warriors would be battling it out versus Dawid Malan-led Qalandars in what promises to be a cracker of a contest for fans of both the units. While the Warriors would be high on confidence after a scintillating victory in the tournament opener, Qalandars, on the other hand, would look to taste their first success of the season, unless their plans get thwarted by Darren Sammy & Co.

The Northern Warriors looked on song in the previous outing versus Qalandars.
Opener George Munsey (24) was hitting the ball pretty decently and along with wicket-keeper Sam Billings would be anticipated to put up a sparkling exhibition in the game versus Qalandars. Although skipper Darren Sammy didn’t get a chance with the bat in the previous game, he could be backed to go for the monstrous hits in the forthcoming duel.
All-rounder Andre Russell with his figures of 2/12 with the ball and 24-ball 58 with the bat was awarded the Man of the Match title in the nerve-wracking encounter. Among the remaining bowlers, Chris Wood (2/18) impressed the most, while Nuwan Pradeep and Rayad Emrit donned supporting roles.

Qalandars were unfortunate to have missed out on a chance of securing an easy win in the previous outing versus Moeen Ali-led Team - Abu Dhabi.
Tom Banton (16) and Luke Ranchi (23) did a decent job while opening the innings, which was followed a quickfire 33 of 18 deliveries by skipper Dawid Malan and an equally enthralling knock by Philip Salt (22) which steered Qalandars quite close to the total. Batting wise, they look firm enough and would be backed to put up a majestic show versus the Warriors.
Pacers Lahiru Kumara (2/22) and Jordan Clark (1/20) delivered rip-roaring exhibitions which put a stop on Abu Dhabi’s run flow. The likes of Chris Jordan (1/15) and Seekkuge Prassana (1/3) were quite successful as well, and along with the aforementioned pace, duo would look to dominate in the coming encounter.

The pitch at Abu Dhabi offers great help to the batsmen with scores as high as 120 being chased down in the T10 formats without facing much duress. The temperature will be in the high 20s with the humility levels increasing as the match progresses.
Bowlers might have to put in a lot of effort in getting the desired results in the second half of the feud on this venue.
The toss winning should consider to bowl first on this occasion. Taking into account the humidity levels and dew factor, one could the batsmen expect to perform exceedingly better in the later stage of the contest.
Northern Warriors would be clear favorites for the coming encounter. The Darren Sammy-led side started the T10 League 2019 on a winning note and would look to forge ahead with winning momentum. While Qalandars could be hoped to give a good fight to the Warriors, considering they have Luke Ronchi, Dawid Malan and Chris Jordan in their armory, they would falter because of a comparatively weaker batting line-up compared to hosts Warriors.
