Host New Zealand will be looking to inflict a 3-0 whitewash in the T20I series when they take on Bangladesh in the third and final game at Eden Park in Auckland.

In the rain-curtailed game, New Zealand registered 28-run over Bangladesh via the DLS method. With the series already wrapped up, the home side might be tempted to provide opportunities to fringe players in this dead rubber.

With the likes of Shakib Al Hasan and Tamim Iqbal not available, Bangladesh has struggled to make an impact in this T20I series. The visitors will have to deep dig and put in a collective effort in order to earn a consolation win at Eden Park.

New Zealand

After being rested for Napier game, pacer Lockie Ferguson might be slotted into the playing XI in place of Hamish Bennett.

In the batting department, the onus will be on the opening pair of Martin Guptill and Finn Allen to get the side off to decent starts.

Veteran Martin Guptill will be looking to get a big score after failing to capitalize in the previous two matches. His opening partner, Finn Allen, will need to stay at the crease in order to get runs in this dead rubber.

Wicket-keeper Devon Conway has been a valuable find for New Zealand and proved his credentials against all teams and conditions. Left-hander smashed a splendid maiden ton in the series opener played at Hamilton and will be looking to put in another notable score in this series finale.

The big positive for New Zealand was Glenn Phillips finding form with the bat in the rain-affected game played at Napier. The 24-year old notched up his second half-century in the T20 format. He was well supported by Daryl Mitchell, who continues to impress with the bat for New Zealand this summer.

In the bowling department, the onus will be on the likes of Tim Southee, Adam Milne and Lockie Ferguson to make early inroads in the initial Powerplay overs.
