Host New Zealand will be looking to inflict a 3-0 whitewash in the ODI series when they face Bangladesh in the third and final game at Basin Reserve in Wellington on Friday.

The visitors will have to improve their game in all three departments in a bid to earn a consolation win at Basin Reserve in Wellington.
For Bangladesh, the onus will be on Captain Tamim Iqbal and Liton Das to get them off to good starts. In the previous game, Tamim Iqbal showed excellent form and finished the innings with the top-score of 78 runs off 108 balls with the help of 11 fours. He stitched crucial partnerships with Soumya Sarkar and Mushfiqur Rahim to keep the scoreboard ticking for Bangladesh.
Soumya Sarkar scored 32 runs off 46 balls with the help of three boundaries and one six, whereas wicket-keeper Mushfiqur Rahim, chipped in with 34 runs off 59 balls with the help of three fours.
With Rahim departing in the 40th over of the innings, Mohammad Mithun and Mahmudullah Riyad came to the crease and produced a partnership of 63 runs off 35 balls to provide momentum to the Bangladesh innings.
Mohammad Mithun played exceedingly well and smashed quick-fire 73 runs off 57 balls to help Bangladesh post a competitive 271 runs for the loss of six wickets in their 50 overs.
In the bowling department, the onus will be on the likes of Mustafizur Rahman, Mahedi Hasan and Mehidy Hasan Miraaz. In the 2nd game, rookie spinner Mahedi Hasan bowled brilliantly and claimed two wickets in his ten overs.
