New Zealand, after losing the opening game of the series, bounced back exceptionally at Wellington in the second game. They defeated England by 22 runs and equal the series 1-1. James Neesham and Mitchell Santner was the star performer with bat and ball respectively. Asked to bat first, New Zealand put up a decent score of 176, courtesy their collective batting efforts. Later bowlers bowled with great discipline to defend the score. Notably, bowlers picked crucial early wickets of visitors and that set the tone for victory. Kiwis would be hoping for another win and carry the momentum.
England, on the other hand, failed to produce clinical performance during the second game. In the first inning, bowlers failed to control the flow of the runs and that allows the host team to put an above par score on board. Their fielding was also ordinary and that hurt visitors most. In the chase, after losing three top-order wickets in the powerplay it was always difficult for England to get over the line. Nevertheless, England team had many positives from last game, Chirs Jorden, excellent bowling form continues, he picked 3 wickets and also smashed 36 runs in just 19 balls.

Only lone T-20 game played this venue earlier and it was won by New Zealand against West Indies. The first inning score was 187 whereas 140 batting second score. The present record are in favour of batting first and hence it would be wise to bat first after winning the toss.
We expect it to be a thrilling contest as both the team are equally good and balanced. Besides both, the team got a good bunch of young and experienced players in the squad. However, considering the recent form of player and team’s success, we predict the England team will have an edge in the third game. Furthermore, statistically, visitors got a better T20 win record against Kiwis. Hence we predict, England is the favourites to win the third game and lead the series 2-1.
