New Zealand and England are set to face off in the fourth T20 with a lot at stake for both sides at McLean Park, Napier. After the first three-game in the 5 match T20 series, New Zealand, is leading the series 2-1 following the win in the last two consecutive triumphs over England. It was a good collective effort from the host side which puts them in such a strong position.
In the last game, the England team was pretty much in the winning situation but they've been choked, courtesy some exemplary death bowling from Kiwis. Colin de Grandhomme and Mitchell Santner have been in great form in batting and bowling respectively. The last win will give great confidence for the home side, and they would be looking for another clinical performance to seal the series with one game to spare. On the other hand, skipper Eoin would be disappointed by the team’s performance, mainly from middle-order batsmen.
As in the previous game, they just needed around 8 runs per over in the last four and with seven wickets in hand, still, they found themselves on losing side. But that can be attributed to the fact that England's side is without six of their regular starters. James Vince and David Malan have been superb form in the ongoing series as both scored 100+ runs from the last three-game. Chris Jorden is superb with the ball. The team would be hoping for a big contribution from the players in form and the experienced player in the side during the most crucial game of the series. They will seek resurgence and level the series.

Men in black would be very content following a comprehensive performance in batting, bowling and fielding in the previous two games. The Black Caps is likely to go with the winning combination for the fourth game. Overall New Zeland team looks very balanced and strong as they cover all the bases in batting and bowling.
On the batting front, C D Grandhomme has been the Kiwis leading scorer in series, he scored 102 runs at an average of 34 and a staggering strike rate of 167.21. He is a very powerful hitter of the balls and can take the game away from an opponent in a few deliveries. He would be keen to carry on the good form. Veteran Ross Taylor also played a good knock in earlier games. With 99 runs he is currently the second-best Kiwis scorer in the series. In the last match, the batting duo added 66 runs for the fourth wicket to lay a strong foundation for the lower-middle order batsmen to end the innings with a bang. The main concern for the home side in the form of the opening pair Martin Guptil and Collin Munro.
Batting duo has been struggling to provide a good opening stand. New Zealand will want their openers to fire in unison. All-rounder James Nisham also has been in great form. He also scored one match-winning knock of 42 runs in the second game. He is a three-dimensional player and can win the match on his own. Pace attack comprising of skipper T Southee and Lockie Ferguson bowled remarkably in the last couple of games. The left-arm spinner, Mitchell Santner has been the standout bowler in the series. With 7 wickets, he is currently the leading wicket-taker in the ongoing series.

Eoin Morgan and co. would need to work on many things before the crucial game of the series. Skipper would want better returns from his young players. England is likely to make a change in the next game, they will likely to bring back the experienced player in the starting eleven considering the gravity of the situation. On the batting front, David Malan and James Vince were exceptional in the last match. Batting duo added 63 runs for the second wicket to put the tourists in line for a crucial win.
Ones again the onus will be on these two to deliver with the bat in a decisive match of the series. Skipper Eoin Morgen has been the vital cog in England’s batting line-up. He needs to play anchor inning and guide the youngsters in a pressure game. In 81 T20 innings, he scored 1894 runs at an average of 29.14. Prime batsman Johny Bairstow is most likely to be in the starting eleven in the next game. He can be the match-winner for England in the significant game. England pace attack, comprising, Chris Jorden, Sam Curran and Tom Curran has a great outing in earlier games. Chris Jorden with 5 wickets from 2 games is currently the leading wicket-taker for England this series. Sam Curran also supported him well from another end, he picked 4 wickets. Bowling unit needs to come up with the best performance of the series and restrict the opponent batsmen from scoring heavy runs.

The weather in Napier on Friday will be partly cloudy and the temperature will hover around 24 degrees Celsius. There are no chances of rain as of now. Pacers should get some help with the overcast conditions at the venue.
Only lone T-20 game played this venue earlier and it was won by New Zealand against West Indies. The first inning score was 141 whereas 143 batting second score.
New Zealand won that lone T20 game played at the same venue while chasing the score versus Bangladesh. The present record are in favour of batting second and hence it would be wise to chase the score after winning the toss.
The ongoing T20I series between England and New Zealand is living up to the expectations. Both the teams have played some good brand of cricket thus far. And New Zeland with the decisive lead would look to win this game and seal the series.
On the other hand, though the England side got better head-head stats against New Zealand in T20, the visitors have failed to deliver a similar performance. In the absence of regular and experienced players, young new-comers failed to deliver consistent performance. Though we expect it to be a close encounter, we predict New Zealand will have an advantage based on the recent performance in the series.
