2nd T20I:New Zealand eye series win, Pakistan look to stay alive
Expect New Zealand to beat Pakistan and go 2-0 up in the T20I series.

Host New Zealand will be looking to clinch the T20I series when they take on Pakistan in the second game at Seddon Park in Hamilton on Sunday.
In their opening game, New Zealand managed to register a five-wicket win, courtesy splendid contributions from Jacob Duffy, Scott Kuggeleijn and Tim Seifert.
Kane Williamson, Tim Southee, Trent Boult and Kyle Jamieson will be available for this game. It will be interesting to see how team management goes about selecting the final XI.
On the other hand, Pakistan will have to significant improvements with the bat in order to level the three-match T20I series. Captain Shadab Khan will be hoping that experienced players to raise their game and deliver the goods with bat and ball.

In the T20I series opener, wicket-keeper batsman Tim Seifert was the standout player with the bat and finished the innings with the top-score of 57 runs off 43 balls with the help of six fours and one six. He stitched important partnerships with Glenn Phillips and Mark Chapman in order to keep New Zealand in the hunt to win the game.
Glenn Phillips put in another crucial innings of 23 runs off 18 balls with the help of two fours and one six, whereas James Neesham and Mitchell Santner remained unbeaten till the end and produced scores of 15 and 12 respectively.

The visitors clearly failed to adjust to the conditions and lost too many wickets in the initial Powerplay overs.
After winning the toss and opting to bat first, the likes of Abdullah Shafique, Haider Ali and Mohammad Hafeez perished for low scores. Wicket-keeper Mohammad Rizwan promoted to open the innings, failed to capitalize on his good start and perished after scoring 17 runs off 17 balls with the help of three boundaries.
With side reeling at 20 for 4 after 4.1 overs, Shadab Khan and Khushdil Shah added 19 runs for the fifth wicket. Khushdil Shah failed to make the most of the opportunity and perished after scoring 16 runs off 20 balls. With Khushdil Shah dismissed, the side lost their fifth wicket with just 39 runs on the board.
Captain Shadab Khan and Imad Wasim led the fightback for Pakistan with a 40-run partnership. The duo managed to keep the scoreboard ticking at decent rate.
Imad Wasim put in crucial innings for the side and scored 19 runs off 14 balls with the help of two boundaries.
For Pakistan, Shadab Khan was the standout player with the bat in the opening game. He played exceedingly and finished the innings with the top-score of 42 runs off 32 balls with the help of two fours and three sixes. He was well supported by all-rounder Faheem Ashraf, who produced a quick-fire 31 off 18 balls with the help of two fours and three sixes.
With contributions from Shadab and Faheem, Pakistan managed to post a decent total of 154 runs in their allotted 20 overs.
In the bowling department, pacer Haris Rauf was best bowler on display for Pakistan in the T20I series opener. He claimed key wickets of Devon Conway, Glenn Phillips and Mark Chapman. Besides Rauf, Left-arm quick Shaheen Afridi continued his excellent form with the new-ball and finished with figures of 2 for 27 in his four overs.
