Pakistan will be looking to salvage some pride when they will face New Zealand in the third and final T20I of the three-match series in Napier on Tuesday.
The visitors will be coming in this final match low on confidence after suffering a comprehensive nine-wicket defeat in the second game of the T20I series played at Hamilton. With this result, New Zealand have already clinched the T20I series and will be keen to inflict a whitewash against Pakistan.
The team management, in particular, will be concerned about the lack of runs from the top order who failed to adjust to the conditions that provided pace and bounce to the quick bowlers.
Captain Shadab Khan will be hoping to see some kind of response in the Tuesday’s match where the Men in Green must produce a positive result in avoid a possible whitewash.
The Black Caps will be even more confident after their dominant win in Hamilton. Pacer Kylie Jamieson might be rested for the final game of the series.

In the previous game, New Zealand put in a disciplined effort with the bat and managed to restrict Pakistan to a score of 163 runs for the loss of six wickets in their 20 overs.
Pacer Tim Southee was the pick of the bowlers and finished with figures of 4 for 21 in his four overs. Leg-spinner Ish Sodhi also put in an improved effort and claimed 1 for 21 from his three overs.
For the final game, New Zealand will be once again banking on an in-experienced pace-attack to dismantle the Green Caps’ batting lineup.
In the batting department, Kiwis will be relying on the likes of veteran opener Martin Guptill, Captain Kane Williamson and wicketkeeper-batsman Tim Seifert to score the bulk of the runs.
In the previous game, wicket-keeper Tim Seifert continued his excellent form with the bat and smashed a match-winning 84 not out off 63 balls with the help of six fours and three sixes. He was well supported by Kane Williamson, who scored a crucial half-century, with the help of eight boundaries and one six.
Martin Guptill also contributed with the bat and scored 21 runs off 11 balls with the help of one four and two sixes.

The visitors might make one or two changes in the playing XI for the game on Tuesday as they have failed to push New Zealand in the first two matches.

In the batting department, the visitors will be heavily relying on veteran Mohammad Hafeez, wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan and captain Shadab Khan to produce the goods with the bat in this dead rubber.
In the second game of the T20I series, Mohammad Hafeez continued his merry ways with the bat and smashed 99 not out off 57 balls with the help of ten boundaries and five sixes. He was well supported by Khushdil Shah, who scored 14 runs off 20 balls.
Promoted to open the innings, wicket-keeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan once again failed to capitalize on his good start and perished after scoring 22 runs off 20 balls with the help of four boundaries.

McLean Park, Napier is going to host the third and final game of the T20I series between Pakistan and New Zealand.
New Zealand lost their previous T20I match played against England at this venue.
Both the teams will be looking to win the toss, bat first and post a competitive score on the board. Average first innings score in a T20I match at McLean Park in Napier is around 190 runs.
In the absence of Babar Azam, the top-order has crumbled against New Zealand’s potent new-ball bowlers. There is no doubt that batting has been Pakistan’s Achilles Heels in this series.
With Tim Seifert and Kane Williamson in stupendous form with the bat, New Zealand should’ve enough in the tank to get the better of the opposition and complete a clean sweep on Tuesday.
