England women eye ODI series whitewash over New Zealand women

New Zealand will be looking to earn a consolation victory when they take on England in the third and final game at University Oval in Dunedin on Sunday.
For the home side, there might be one or two changes to their playing XI for this dead rubber. Captain Sophie Devine will be hoping that the side can break their losing streak and take some confidence for the upcoming three-match T20I series.

The visitors will be looking to deliver another flawless performance in the series finale against New Zealand women. Despite losing the toss once again, spearhead Katherine Brunt dismissed the openers in the initial overs to see England women take control of the game.
Natalie Sciver was the pick of the bowlers for England women and finished with figures of 3 for 26. Besides Sciver, Katherine Brunt and Sarah Glenn claimed two wickets, whereas Kate Cross picked important wicket of Amy Satterthwaite.
Chasing 193 runs for victory, Danielle Wyatt and captain Heather Knight perished for low scores to see England lose their first two wickets with just 12 runs on the board.
Opener Tammy Beaumont and all-rounder Natalie Sciver came together and put on a 103-run partnership to see England women in a commanding position to win the game.
Despite Natalie Sciver perishing in the 23rd over, Beaumont showed positive intent with the bat and produced another unbeaten 79-run partnership with wicket-keeper Amy Ellen Jones to take her team to victory.
For England women, Tammy Beaumont was the star of the show with the bat and scored 72 not out off 112 balls with the help of seven fours. She was well supported by the likes of Natalie Sciver and Amy Jones, who chipped in with scores of 63 and 46 not respectively.
