The series was expected to be a competitive one where New Zealand Women were likely to have an edge over South Africa Women playing at home. It hasn’t fanned out that way and the visitors have dominated in both the games.
The one-sided win that South Africa Women registered in the last game would have given the side lot of confidence as they play the final match of the ODI series. In both the games that have been played so far in the series it is the South African batting that has stood out.
New Zealand Women bowlers have had no answers to this. With the series already lost the Kiwi side will now look to salvage some lost pride by winning this game. It looks tough for the hosts at the moment and they will have to believe in themselves to win this one.

It was a devastating loss for Sophie Devine’s side in the last game. Their batters threw away the wickets resulting in a big defeat. Devine would want her side to perform well in the next game against a strong South African side as this will help in bringing some cheers to their fans after the series loss.
Bernadine Bezuidenhout and Maddy Green will need to provide the side with a good start in the next game. Their failure in the last game cost the team dearly. Suzie Bates has batted well in the series. The side will, however, need a good show from Sophie Devine, Katie Perkins and Katey Martin in the middle. Amelia Kerr and Haley Jenson will have to finish the innings well with their hitting abilities.
Their bowling attack hasn’t done well in both the games so far and they will need to put pressure on the South Africans in the next game. Jess Kerr and Devine will need to start well with the new ball in the next game. Leigh Kasperek, Amelia Kerr, and Holly Huddleston didn't cause much trouble to the South Africans in the last game and shall be looking to apply pressure in the next game.

Dane van Niekerk couldn’t have asked for a better show from her girls. In a country where they hadn’t won a game in the past, they have already won the series 2-0 with one game to go. They demolished the hosts in the last game and shall be playing to win the series 3-0 and gain confidence ahead of the T20 series.
The opening pair of Laura Wolvaardt and Lizelle Lee has done well so far and the latter looks in great form ahead of this game. Suné Luus and Mignon du Preez would also be confident after their show in the last game. Dane van Niekerk, Marizanne Kapp, Chloe Tryon and Trisha Chetty add depth to this batting line-up. With their players in good form, the side will be looking for a big score in the next game.
Their bowlers had a great day in the last game. Marizanne Kapp picked up 4 wickets to destroy the New Zealand top order. Shabnim Ismail also did well with the ball. With Masabata Klaas, Ayabonga Khaka and Dane van Niekerk in the side they will be looking to trouble the New Zealand side in the next game.

The weather conditions would be slightly overcast at Hamilton on January 30 and this will make batting a challenge. There would be slight grass cover on the surface and this will help the fast bowlers move the ball in the air. A score of 250 odd runs batting first should have the team confidence to defend it.
Seddon Park, Hamilton is a typical New Zealand venue where there is assistance on the track for fast bowlers. The true nature of the surface allows the batters to commit to the front foot and play their strokes. It is one of the larger venues in New Zealand and batters have lots of opportunities to score twos and threes.
In both the games played so far in the season, the side bowling first has gone on to win the game. The pitches have offered early morning assistance to the bowlers and we expect the same going into the next game where the side winning the toss is likely to opt for bowling first in the game.
New Zealand Women have been outplayed in the series. If it was a close contest in the first game it was a completely one-sided affair in the last one. The visitors are looking in great form as they play the next game and shall be looking for a 3-0 whitewash. New Zealand Women will need to play exceptionally well to win the next game. As form stands at the moment South African Women would start as favorites going into this game.
