Host Pakistan will be looking to turn things around in red-ball cricket when they take on South Africa in the opening Test at National Cricket Stadium in Karachi on Tuesday.
With Babar Azam fully recovering from injury, the home side will be looking to get back to winning ways in Test cricket. The selectors have picked nine uncapped players for the two-match Test series against South Africa.

Since Jan 2019, Wicket-keeper Quinton de Kock has topped the batting charts for South Africa in five-day format. Left-hander has accumulated 992 runs in 13 Test matches at an average of 43.13 with two centuries and eight half-centuries to his name. The team management will be hoping that Quinton de Kock can find form with the bat in this opening Test.
Rassie van der Dussen, Temba Bavuma and Aiden Markram will need to put in crucial scores for the side for this series opener.
In the bowling department, the onus will be on the likes of Anrich Nortje, Kagiso Rabada and Keshav Maharaj to make crucial breakthrough.
