Pakistan Women to win this game!

After whitewashing Bangladesh Women 3-0 in the T20 series Pakistan Women continued with the form in the 1st ODI winning the game by 29 runs. It was a great effort with the ball from the Pakistani girls in the game and equally poor show by the Bangladeshi side when it came to their batting. As the sides now meet in the 2nd ODI which is also the last game of the series Pakistan would be looking to end this home series on a winning note.
The problem for the Bangladeshi side has been their batting which has failed to deliver in all the games that they played. Their top-order looks in bad form and their batters have been unable to convert their starts into big scores. As they play the final game the pressure would be on the visitors to restore pride and confidence.

Pakistani skipper Bismah Maroof would be happy with the way her side defended the low total in the last game. It wasn’t the most convincing performance with the bat from the side but they did well with the ball to take a lead in the two-match ODI series. The skipper would now want her side to go for the kill and whitewash their opponents in the last game. The opening pair of Nahida Khan and Sidra Ameen did well in the last game especially the former who held the innings together.
Marhoof, Omaima Sohail and Aliya Dar look in good form going into the next game. The side has good players down the order in Sana Mir and Sidra Nawaz and would want Javeria Khan to get back to form at the top. Diana Baig and Sana Mir have done well in the series so far and they looked in great form in the last game. Sadia Iqbal tied the Bangladeshi batters in the game and it will be a big challenge for the visitors to get over this attack. Nashra Sandhu and Aliya Riaz also look in good form and shall pose a challenge for Bangladeshi batsmen.

It has been a series where nothing has gone in Bangladesh Women’s favor and skipper Rumana Ahmed would want to end the tour on a happy note. She would be upset with the way her batters played in the last game and would be looking for a more stable batting effort from them going into the last game.
The side would need a good start at the top from Murshida Khatun and Sharmin Akhter will need to provide the side with a good start. It has been one of the problem areas for the side. Fargana Hoque, Rumana Ahmed and Nigar Sultana looked good form in the last game but they will have to up the scoring rate in the next game. The likes of Fahima Khan and Sanjida Islam need to score more runs for the side to win the next game. There bowling attack has done well in the series so far and Jahanara Alam and Panna Ghosh are looking in good form at the moment for the side. Nahida Akter and Salman Khatun are also bowling tight lines. They would look to carry this form as they play the final game of the tour.

It would be clear skies over Lahore on November 04 and the batting conditions would be good. There might be some movement off the surface in the early overs but by and large the wicket is expected to be a flat one. The slowness of the surface would require batters to stick to their ground and any score of 250 plus would be a competitive one on this surface.
Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore has always been a venue that batters have loved. The wicket is flat and there isn’t must assistance for the fast bowlers. The fast outfield also allows easy run scoring opportunities. Spinners have done well at thus venue as the pitch wears down and they get turn and bounce from the rough surface.
In the last ODI played at this venue the pitch went on to slow down towards the end of the game. Apart from the few early overs in the game batting looked relatively easy in the first innings where the ball came on to the bat nicely. The side that wins the toss would prefer to bat first in the game.
Bangladesh Women haven’t looked in the right frame of mind in the series. Pakistan Women haven’t played exceptional quality cricket but Bangladesh’s inability to build partnerships while batting has cost them in all the games. Going into the last game of the tour the visitors will need to play out of their skins to win this one.
Pakistan Women already enjoy a moral advantage over their visitors and this would make them favorites to win this game and the series 2-0
