The series has all been about struggle and defeats for Pakistan Women. After meekly surrendering in the ODI leg of the tour the side suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of England Women in the first of three-match T20 series. It was again a poor show with the bat that saw the side going down as English players went about with their clinical approach to win another game in the series. The Pakistan Women team looks down on confidence at the moment and it will take a herculean task from the side to defeat an in-form English side.
They have lost the last five games against English Women and have so far managed to win only one game of the 11 games played between the two sides. It will be interesting to see the approach Pakistan Women adopt going into the next game.

Bismah Maroof fought a lone battle as she saw her team going down by 29 runs in the 1st T20i. The story so far in the series has been of individual brilliance as they have failed as a team. Maroof will hope to reverse this trend in the next game and expect a good show from her team.
Openers Nahida Khan and Javeria Khan will need to provide the side with a good start and this is the area where the side has struggled the most. Maroof looks in good form but the side will depend on Omaima Sohal and Nida Dar in the middle order.
They have to do well and prevent a batting collapse as has been the case so far. The bowlers did well in the last game especially Maroof and Syeda Aroob Shah. But the skipper would like to see better efforts with the ball from the likes of Diana Baig and Anam Amin with the new ball going into the next match. Given their poor batting form, the bowlers will have to take additional responsibility.
Diana Baig, Aliya Riaz, Javeria Khan, Syeda Aroob Shah, Sidra Nawaz, Anam Amin, Bismah Maroof, Nahida Khan, Nida Dar, Omaima Sohail, Iram Javed

Heather Knight's side is doing well in the series. The skipper would be happy with the way her players have carried their momentum into the T20 series. With a series win on the cards, the skipper would want her side to play positively going into the second game. Amy Ellen Jones is in good form with the bat and played a match-winning knock in the last game.
Tammy Beaumont and Natalie Sciver also look in good form. Danielle Wyatt will look to do well after missing out on the first game. Katherine Brunt and Knight add strength to the lower order for the side. Freya Davies and Anya Shrubsole did well in the last game with the new ball. Sophie Ecclestone and Natalie Sciver also bowled tight lines to set up a win for the side.
The English bowlers are in good form and the skipper would want them to continue the same way going into the next game.

There are chances of showers in Kuala Lumpur on December 19 and this is likely to affect the game. However the pitch is likely to be a good one to bat on as we have seen during the first game. The fast bowlers would get some bargain off the surface though the batters will enjoy as the ball comes onto the bat nicely and creates plenty of scoring opportunities.
Kinrara Academy Oval, Kuala Lumpur is a small ground and the pitch here has been a good one to bat on. The bounce and pace on the surface is true and allows batters to hit through the line. The shorter boundaries here make hitting easy. Fast bowlers have done well on this surface and spinners tend to do well as the game progresses.
The pitch has been a good one to bat on at the start of the game and offers assistance to the bowlers as the game progresses. The side that wins the toss would most likely choose to bat first on this surface and aim at putting up a big total on the board.
England Women have had it easy so far in the series and have been playing well. The story has been different for Pakistan Women who haven’t been able to find their form and momentum so far on the tour. It will be a big challenge for the Pakistani side given the kind of form they are in at the moment.
England Women are riding high on confidence and this will make them favorites going into the next game.
