After a good performance in both batting, bowling, and defeating Mumbai Indians by 9 wickets, Punjab Kings have struggled again against KKR in their last match and lost 2 points and a place in the top 4. Currently, they are in 6th place in the points table. Against the brilliant fast bowling of KKR, Punjab collapsed down terribly and just scored 123 runs on the board. Mayank Agarwal’s 31 from 34 balls and Chris Jordan’s 30 from 18 balls helped them to reach this scoreboard. Punjab’s middle-order again suffered against KKR and failed to stretch down the inning. Big hitter Chris Gayle who has scored 301 runs in the last 10 innings is yet to deliver a special inning for the team this season.
While defending this low target, Punjab’s bowlers took quick wickets at the initial stage of the game but they were not on the mark in the middle overs. Pacers Mohammed Shami and Arshdeep Singh both have taken 1 wicket each but haven’t managed to restrict KKR during this chase. The team’s bowling remains the main issue in defeats along with their failure in batting during middle overs. Mohammed Shami has taken just 11 wickets in his last 10 matches and will like to take more wickets for the team.
Now, they are in search of 2 points against table-toppers RCB and will try to overcome their batting as well as bowling issues against RCB in the 26th match of the season at Ahmedabad.

RCB have lost their first match of the season against experienced CSK but managed to be back in the winning zone by defeating Delhi Capitals in the last match. Currently, they are the table toppers with 10 points from 6 matches in their account. With the help of AB de Villiers’ heroic 75 from 42 balls, RCB have managed to put 171 runs on the board after struggling in the inning at the initial stage. Rajat Patidar who had scored 31 from 22 balls and Glenn Maxwell who scored 25 from 21 balls, were there in the middle to help ABD to settle an inning.
Season’s leading wicket-taker, Harshal Patel has managed to give breakthroughs for the team again and has taken 2 wickets for 37 runs in his 4 overs. He has taken a total of 17 wickets this season. Mohammed Siraj remained expensive in bowling and conceded 44 runs in his 4 overs but managed to restrict 14 runs in the last over of the game to help the team to clinch 2 points. The team’s overall performance this season is quite impressive and they will try to continue this form in the next few matches. Now they are looking to maintain their top position against Punjab Kings at Ahmedabad.

The weather will clear on match day and there is no chance of raining at all. The temperature will vary between 28°C to 17°C.
The venue for this match is Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. This stadium is the world's largest stadium and has conducted a few international as well as domestic games after its renewal.
The pitch offers an equal advantage to both the batsmen as well as bowlers so far. This ground has conducted 6 T20Is so far in which the team who has batted first won 3 times and the team who bowled first has also won 3 matches. But in this season of the IPL, it seems that the chasing team has a slight advantage over the defending team. So it will be good for the team to win the toss and choose to bowl first on this ground.
RCB are looking so strong this season and have worked hard on their death bowling and lower-order batting. They have chased down the totals as well as defended too. On the other hand, Punjab Kings are heavily dependent on their upper order batting lineup and spinners with the ball. They have failed to tackle their batting order issue although they have tried few new overseas combinations. By looking at both teams, RCB currently have an upper hand over Punjab Kings.
