The third and final game of the three-match ODI series between South Africa and Australia will be played in Potchefstroom on Saturday. J Malan fantastic knock of 129 powered South Africa to consecutive win and also the series win for Proteas with one game remaining. Before, J Malan firepower pacer Lungi Ngidi run through Aussies batting line-up; he recorded his career-best ODI spell of 6-for 58 in the previous match. Most importantly, Proteas have witnessed two remarkable centuries from the two individuals in the last two games. Notably, both the batsmen stayed unbeaten and made sure the team gets over the line. It is a great opportunity for Quinton de Kock and co. to seal the series against heavy-weights Australia, which doesn’t happen very often.
On the other hand, Australia's poor ODI form against South Africa continues. Now, including the two defeat in this series, Austalia has lost in total 10 out of their previous 11 ODI against them. Despite Australia known to be one of the most formidable teams, they looked very ordinary playing against South Africa. In the previous game, they got a good partnership in the middle however they failed to capitalize in the last phase of the inning, lost six wickets in final 10 overs and that indeed shatter the flow of the run. With nothing to lose, Aussies would be hoping to play expressive cricket and avoid the clean-sweep.

South Africa would be riding high on confidence following their superb all-round performance in the first two games of the series. The experiment of giving an opportunity to youngsters like J Malan, JJ Smuts and Verreynne had paid off heavily. Proteas without a few of their regular players in the series did a great job with both bat and bowl and proteas unit would be very content of their success.
In batting, Heinrich Klaasen is in outstanding form this series. H Klassen scored a match-winning ton (123 not out) in the first game and high-ranking knock 51 runs while chasing in the second game. After getting out on duck on international debut, he bounced back with an inning of strong character. He is a player to watch out in a third game of the series.
Skipper Quinton De Kock had a pretty disappointing series as he failed to cross 20 marks in both the earlier games. Arguably he is South Africa’s best batsman in recent times and has all the ability to play big innings. He would be eying to a big contribution in the final game. D Miller, the explosive middle-order batsman played a matured inning in both the previous game and showed his international experience. He scored 64 and unbeaten 37 runs in first two games. He can take the game away from the opponent within the span of a few overs.
