T&Cs apply, 18+
What a game it was in Cape town! Hosts were completely in control of the visitors until Jonny Bairstow turned the tables with his scintillating knock of 86 runs in 48 balls with the help of 9 fours and 4 sixes. South Africa got everything right since the second over of the first inning. The top order and middle order clicked to set a target of 180 runs for England.
SA debutant George Linde who had an excellent cameo with the bat at the end of the innings broke the top-order of England with an impressive 2 wickets for 20 runs. Bairstow who was struggling at Sun Risers Hyderabad (SRH) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) partnered with England’s best hope - Ben Stokes. Their 52 balls 85 runs partnership anchored the well-fought win for England. The absence of all-rounders - Andie Phehlukwayo and Dwaine Pretorius took an easy win from South Africa.
To push for the series, Quinton de Kock’s side will be eager to restore their bowling as well as all-rounder department. On the other hand, it looks like England will go with an unchanged side to win the series to keep their record clean for the year.

After the first T20I, it was clearly seen that South Africa is missing their all-rounders. Even their most experienced player Faf du Plessis mentioned in the press that they suffered in the absence of Andie Phehlukwayo and Dwaine Pretorius who were unable for the selection. SA are having a terrible year in the limited format of cricket. The team is completely dependent on their captain Quinton de Kock and Faf du Plessis to score big. The other names are not clicking much with either bat or ball.
Therefore while entering into game two, SA might make some changes. After two of their players tested positive, they had limitations to choose the players from the roaster. Though their names have not been made public by Cricket South Africa, it is clear that one of them being Andie Phehlukwayo as he was not available for selection for game 1. Therefore top order excluding de Kock and du Plessis should fire up to reduce the overreliance on the mentioned two.
Debutant George Linde will be the obvious choice to open the bowling department being impressive with two wickets in the first game. SA can opt for Nortje instead of Hendricks who proved expensive with the ball. With this change, SA will need to reshuffle their batting department with the inclusion of Reeza Hendricks over Van Biljon.
David Miller and Henrich Klaasen will continue being part of the team. It will be difficult for de Kock to go with only 5 bowlers. Therefore, JJ smuts might get an opportunity to make a comeback. SA have to win the game to save the series and put a fight to justify their inclusion in the World T20 Cup in 2021.

England survived a scare due to an explosive knock from Jonny Bairstow. Though they opted for Jason Roy, it will be interesting to see how long Morgan can keep faith in his inconsistent opener. Also, there are only two options if England choose to play without Roy - one being Moeen Ali to boost the bowling department and the other being Sam Billings who is as inconsistent as that Roy. IPL has given England a solution in Ben Stokes who can open in absence of Roy.
Jonny Bairstow who scored his highest T20I score last game will continue to lead the middle order with Eoin Morgan and world number one David Malan. Sam Curran will be a key bowler after picking 3 wickets in the first game. England can reshuffle their batting order to find the best line up for World Cup 2021.
Tom Curran might get replaced by Mark Wood in the second game. England will make all the efforts to win the game and hence the series to rest their key players for the last game. The team that has not lost a T20I series will do their best to dominate the host with their most prolific squad.

The weather at Newlands will be clear with the temperature will be as high as 30°C to a low of 10°C. The wind will be gusting between 13 km/h to 15 km/h. There are zero chances of any rain or precipitation.
Boland Park will be hosting their first-ever T20I game. The ODI stats from the ground predict a high scoring game. South Africa have not lost a game at Boland park since 2017. Boland Park has always favored the pacers and will continue to do so.
The pitch at Boland Park offers turn to the spinners in the first innings. Out of the 13 games, 7 games have been won by the team batting first while the team batting second has managed to win 5 times.
The team winning the toss should look to bat first here.
England batting looks too strong for South Africa who are missing some key players. Recent history is also against South Africa. Though South Africa wants to win the game badly to save the series, it is going to be tough for them to beat this strong England limited-overs outfit.
We predict, England to win the second T20I against South Africa.
