South Africa women eye ODI series sweep as Pakistan women look for consolation win.

South Africa women will be looking to inflict a whitewash in the ODI series when they take on Pakistan women in the 2nd game to be played at Durban on Tuesday.
In the previous game, South Africa women registered a narrow 13-run win over Pakistan women, courtesy all-round heroics from Marizanne Kapp. With this result, South Africa women have already clinched the ODI series. Captain Sune Luus will be hoping that the side can maintain their disciplines with bat and ball.
On the other hand, lack of runs from the top-order has been a cause of concern for Pakistan women in this ODI series. The visitors will be looking to bring their A-game to the table in this dead rubber.

Despite losing the toss in the 2nd ODI match, South Africa women got off to a decent start, courtesy 52-run opening wicket partnership between Lizelle Lee and Laura Wolvaardt.
Laura Wolvaardt was the first to be dismissed after scoring 27 runs off 34 balls with the help of four boundaries. Wolvaardt’s opening partner, Lizelle Lee, showed excellent form with the bat and smashed 47 runs off 50 balls.
Skipper Sune Luus and Lars Goodall came together and put on a 52-run partnership for the third wicket. Luus scored 32 runs off 71 balls with the help of three fours, whereas Goodall chipped in with 26 runs off 44 balls.
Pakistan women made a strong comeback as Sune Luus and Lara Goodall perished in quick succession. Mignon Du Preez also failed to make an impression with the bat and perished in the 37th over to see South Africa women lose their fifth wicket with 168 runs on the board.
For South Africa, all-rounder Marizanne Kapp was the star performer with the bat and smashed a blistering 68 not out off 45 balls with the help of 10 fours and 1 six.
Wicket-keeper Trisha Chetty and Nadine De Klerk added vital runs at the end to see South Africa women post 252 runs for the loss of seven wickets in their allotted 50 overs.
In the bowling department, medium-pacer Ayabonga Khaka was the standout bowler on display for South Africa women and claimed four wickets, whereas Marizanne Kapp delivered opening spell to get rid of the Pakistan openers.

In the batting department, the onus will be on the in-form batting trio of Aliya Riaz, Nida Dar and Omaima Sohail to deliver the bulk of the runs.
All-rounder Aliya Riaz was the standout performer with the bat and produced her career best batting performance in limited-overs cricket. She played exceedingly well and finished the innings with the top-score of 81 runs off 95 balls with the help of seven fours and one six.
Besides Riaz, Nida Dar continued her excellent form with the bat and notched up her consecutive half-century in the ODI series. Omaima Sohail scored 41 runs off 33 balls with the help of eight boundaries.
In the bowling department, pacer Diana Baig and left-arm spinner Nashra Sandhu played well and claimed two wickets, whereas Fatima Sana and Sadia Iqbal claimed one wicket apiece.
