SoBo Supersonics’ journey this season has been astounding. Supersonics have defeated the top sides from both the groups - Triumph Knights Mumbai North East and ARCS Andheri. Winning first three matches placed them in a comfortable position and making it to the semi-final should not be a difficult task for them, still, they would not want to keep it till the end and their focus must be on winning this match to advance to the semi-final.
Shivaji Park Lions could still reach the semi-final if they beat the Supersonics in this match and then Aakash Tigers MWS on May 23, which will be the last match from the group stage. It is going to be an uphill task as they need to catch up with the net-run rate too. The unfortunate losses at the beginning have come harsh on the last year's runner up team. But they need to do what's in their control, that is to play their level best and win both the remaining matches with good margins.

SoBo Supersonics' winning streak of 3 consecutive wins has been recently halted by NaMo Bandra Blasters in their last match on Tuesday. Supersonics first win was against ARCS Andheri which they won by 48 runs after posting a big total of 188. Then they defeated Triumphs Knights MNE in the second match by four wickets, chasing down 144 in 19.5 overs. The third game against Aakash Tigers MWS was a little bit close but they eventually won by 10 runs defending a modest total of 143 with the help of Dhrumil Matkar’s exceptional 3 for 28.
In the fourth match which SoBo Supersonics lost, they managed to post a decent score of 151 in 20 overs thanks to the wicketkeeper Yogesh Takawale’s quick 32 runs in just 20 deliveries that included 2 fours and 2 sixes. However, Eknath Kerkar scored the match-winning 71 off 51 for Namo Bandra Blasters to wreck the Supersonics. Parag Khanapurkar is the key player for SoBo Supersonics as in four matches, his scored 165 runs and taken 4 wickets.

Shivaji Park Lions reached to the final of T20 Mumbai League 2018, but this season they have failed miserably to open the account, losing all three matches. The first match against ARCS Andheri, they posted a good total of 159 thanks to Swapnil Pradhan’s 33 balls 44 and Raunaq Sharma's 30 balls 51 but Shivam Malhotra conceded 23 runs in the penultimate over which cost them the match. In the second match against NaMo Bandra Blasters, they came within 3 runs to win the match chasing 152 runs. Unfortunately, Shivam Dube’s remarkable inning of unbeaten 87 off 46 went in vain as he lacked the support from fellow batsmen.
After the first two losses, downhearted Lions collapsed to 125 batting first against Triumphs Knights MNE as 7 of their batsmen scored in single digit, and 3 out of top five added just 3 runs. Ultimately, they were defeated under 16 overs. They have to win the match against SoBo Supersonics to keep their thin chance of reaching the semi-final alive.

Like all the other matches of T20 Mumbai League, the venue of this match is Wankhede Stadium. There are absolutely no chances of rain as per the weather report and the temperature would be around 33 Degrees Celsius while the humidity would be around 70%. The highest score in this season in 190 runs while the lowest total is 124 runs in 20 overs.
In this tournament so far, out of 16 matches, the teams batting second have won 9 times. The results are slightly inclined towards the team batting second, hence the team winning the toss should opt to bowl first.
The clash between GROUP B teams SoBo Supersonics and Shivaji Park Lions is going to be an interesting one. On one hand, Supersonics can easily enter the semi-final winning this match, for Shivaji Park Lions it is a do-or-die match and hence they will be under tremendous pressure to perform. The recent form of the players from both the teams and past few matches results show the trend in favor of SoBo Supersonics.
Thus, we predict SoBo Supersonics will defeat Shivaji Park Lions and smack them out of the tournament.
