It will be the first game in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Asia Region Final where hosts Singapore would take on Qatar. Both the teams have made it to this tournament having finished second in the Eastern and Western sub region’s ICC T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier. It is going to be a big occasion for both the sides as they would have their eyes on earning a berth in the 2019 ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier.
This will be the first T20 game between the two sides and each of these teams is packed with a talented bunch of players. Singapore being hosts would like to make the best use of home conditions but Qatar is no pushover as they have proved over the last couple of years. This would make it a very interesting contest.

Chetan Suryawanshi would be proud of the way his side has played in the last couple of years and as they play Qatar in the first game of the tournament the expectations would be high. The skipper would like to make the best use of home advantage and has a good team to play around with.
The side has a good opening pair in Aritra Dutta and Surendran Chandramohan and they have good hitting abilities. The middle order is packed with talented hitters like Chaminda Ruwan, skipper Suryawanshi, Manpreet Singh and Arjun Mutreja. If these players apply their skills they would make it tough for the Qatari bowlers.
The bowling line-up is impressive with Shoib Razzak, Anantha Krishna and Sidhant having picked wickets over the last two seasons. Manpreet Singh has been picking wickets regularly and bowls with an impressive economy rate. They have a bowling attack to make it tough for Qatar’s batsmen.

Inam ul Haq is leading a team of inspired men. They have come a long way in the last few years and have gelled well as a team. The players have made the best use of their skills in the previous tournaments and would be looking to make an impressive start to this tournament playing hosts Singapore in their first game.
They have a strong opening pair in Faisal Javed Khan and skipper Inam ul Haq. The middle-order has also bagged decent returns in the previous games they have played with players like Tamoor Sajjad, Kamran Khan, Zaheeruddeen Ibrahim and Mohamed Awais Malik all possessing good hitting abilities.
It is their bowling attack that makes the side really strong with Malik and Sajjad having done exceedingly well in the previous tournament. Mohamed Nadeem, Iqbal Hussain Chaudhry and Inam ul Haq complete a good bowling line-up for the side and they would be looking to make a strong impression in the game.

The skies are likely to remain overcast in Singapore on July 22 and this might make it little difficult to bat on. The pitch at Indian Association Ground is likely to be better and the ball would come on to the bat nicely. The side batting first would be targeting a total in excess of 160 runs.
VENUE
Indian Association Ground, Singapore can be termed as one of the smaller cricket grounds with both the straight and square boundaries pulled in. Playing shots is easy for the batsmen once they see the shine off the ball. Spinners tend to get a good turn and bounce from this surface as the game progresses.
It is an afternoon game and given the predictions for overcast conditions the ball is likely to move a bit in the early overs. In case of the rain-reduced game, the side chasing the score would have an advantage and we expect the skipper winning the toss to invite the opposition to bat first in the game.
It is going to be a big match for both the sides as they would like to start on a winning note in the tournament. Singapore has an impressive batting line-up and for Qatar, it is their bowling attack that has done well. This would make it a good contest between the two sides. But Singapore would have a better knowledge of the conditions and crowd support behind them which shall make them favorites in the game.
